The Neighborhood:

Built in the 1940s on what was once a thriving indigo plantation, Riverland Terrace inherited the plantation's stately Avenue of Oaks, now framing Wappoo Drive. The neighborhood is bordered by the Stono River and Wappoo Cut waterways and boasts a waterfront playground, free public boat landing, municipal golf course, a retro movie theater, hip music venue and a number of well-reviewed restaurants. All within walking distance!



Getting Around:

Riverland Terrace is centrally located 9 miles from Folly Beach and less than 5 miles from Historic Downtown Charleston. Uber and Lyft are plentiful and affordable.

We make it easy and secure for guests to check in with a personalized check-in code for the smart lock on the front door.

Great place to stay with adults. The stairs would be difficult to climb with children. The screened in porch was nice, but the back and side porches were dirty and moldy. Kitchen was a good size. Very dark neighborhood at night.

Great house, perfect location!

We rented this house for a girls weekend, it was the perfect amount of space for three of us. The house is very modern, styled well and clean. We enjoyed coffee on the screened in porch, games at the table and chats in the living room. The A/C worked well which is very important for Charleston weather. The location is close to grocery stores and restaurants with a short drive downtown or to the beach. Our hosts were very prompt with communication which made the experience even better. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to a small group.

This was a perfect property for a group of a few friends, exactly as advertised. This property was convenient to grocery stores, Charleston, Folly Beach, and Plenty of Golf Courses, including Charleston Municipal right down the road. Hope to return here some time!

Nice home

Comfortable beds, lovely kitchen but no Keurig which it said there was one. The door that leads to the porch is only secured by a chain, so didn’t feel completely safe. Spiral staircase was hard to navigate with luggage. Otherwise, great location and nice property. I would definitely go back! Thank you!!

This location is perfect...equidistant from the beach and the city. Cool mid-century decor adds fun to the overall comfort of the house. It provided a cool respite during multiple days of heat advisory temps. Neighborhood is quiet and verdant.

Little Fishing Getaway

My husband and I brought our 21’-0” center console boat for a few days for his birthday getaway. It was a little bit of a tight fit for boat,trailer, and truck but we made it work. The most important success to our trip was being able to access a public boat ramp without even having to leave the neighborhood. That was wonderful! Other amazing property pluses: Super clean, very well equipped (even though we ate out most of the trip), and easy check-in/check-out procedure.
