Magnificent town house in the centre of Chamonix with a view of the Mont Blanc and a large decked terrace. Ideal for a self catering ski holiday with friends or family. The apartments are spacious and comfortable.
The town house is minutes from the Savoy and Brevent slopes, and the buses that can bring you anywhere in the Mont Blanc Valley (ArgentiĂšre, Les Grands Montets, La FlegĂšre, Le Tour, Les Houches). This property has an ideal location for all Chamonix has to offer whilst also very comfortable and clean, would definitely recommend this property.

Lovely stay in central Chamonix for skiing

Spacious apartment in central Chamonix. Great location - right in the centre of town. Brill communication throughout booking process and stay and we were even able to store our bags after check out which gave us an extra day of skiing.

This place has so much history and character - has been in the family for generations. If want an amazing location and great terrace, this can't be beat. It is also nice that it has four bathrooms with three bedrooms en suite. The owners and property managers are lovely, and it is easy to get in and out. Since you are right in the center of things, you can do a lot of people watching - but it is also loud in high season with people partying at restaurants in the area until about 11 pm. If you want updated and modern, this is not the place for you - you have to walk about 5 minutes to the laundromat. The kitchen is quite basic but I was not in Chamonix to cook for myself. We absolutely loved our stay here.

Great view and comfortable stay for large group

Located very close to the main restaurants in Chamonix, this place can easily accommodate 10 people. Spacious kitchen and large living room and big deck with spectacular view to the glacier n mountain peaks. There is a grocery store right across. Wish bathrooms were bigger and the back side of the house is very noisy with all the bars and parties.

Chamonix trip

The location on this property is awesome. It is nestled in the center of the town of Chamonix! The rental was spacious and very clean. We loved the outdoor space. Plenty of room for the 9 of us. There is no on site parking but the parking garage is just a short walk from the apartment!. We hope to visit in the summer sometime and we would definitely rent this rental. Thank you Ethna!

Wonderful location

The location is great. The grocery store is directly across the street. There are a few pastry shops within a block either way with the most delicious French pastries and bread. Cheese shop also on the block. Although we could have walked to a few of the ski areas, the bus stop is a short walk from the condo. The tourist office is also close by. They were super helpful with snow conditions at the various ski areas, travel and general information. Our group stopped by several times during our week's stay. The unit itself is spacious; not cramp at all. There were 9 of us: brothers, their wives, nieces and nephews. The large dining room table was perfect allowing everyone to sit around to share our day's adventure and enjoy a meal together. There are 10 beds; no one has to sleep on a couch. Some places would say they sleep 10, but with beds for only 7 or 8 people and offering a futon or pull out sofa as sleeping accommodations. Minor issues for the kitchen. We could not find oven mitts or potholders. Two kitchen towels were supplied, but did not serve well handling hot oven items. We had to supply our own dish washing liquid and kitchen garbage bag after initial bag was full. Other than those minor problems, the kitchen had more than enough pots, pans, glasses, flatware, and dishes for our crew. And the owner was very accessible and helpful with any questions.

Appartement idéalement situé au centre

TrÚs bel appartement, spacieux, avec un beau salon et une terrasse qui donne directement dans le centre. Accueil trÚs accueillant par la propriétaire. Je le recommande. Il y aurait juste la cuisine à rafraichir mais cela ne gÚne en rien le confort.

Ethna was a pleasure to work with. The apartment was comfortable, well appointed. And immaculately situated. Four of us came in from a nine day trek and found ourselves in the lap of luxury. Highly recommended!

Perfect Summer Getaway for traveling students

I stayed in this apartment with seven other friends on a weekend trip to Chamonix. We were American students studying abroad in France with very little travel experience. The owners were extremely welcoming and very helpful with site seeing advice. We did not have access to a car, which proved to be no problem at all because all the sites Chamonix had to offer were within a 15 min walk. We would spent most of our days out seeing the sites and would come home to to make "family" dinners. I would recommend this apartment to any type of travelers looking to experience Chamonix. The views, activities, shops, reasonable rates (especially for traveling students) made this the perfect weekend getaway. I would come back in a heart beat!

Great location, very clean and large flat.

My extended family of 10 had an amazing stay in Chamonix. The flat was better then we expected. The location is perfect for ease of access to activities in the town and mountains. The deck was large and the view incredible. I would highly recommend Villa Leon for your time in Chamonix.

Great central location for a ski holiday !!!

We satyed here for a late spring ski trip. We have skied chamonix a few times and are well aware that many places calling themselves "chamonix " are only in the valley (les hoiuches, argentiere etc), sometimes involving 20 mins walk even if they are in chamonix. This apartment can not be beaten for location. Its in the central pedestrianised area - even I was amazed how near the centre we were. You can literally see the apartment door as you are leaving the super u supermarket! The apartment is very roomy by french standards- the rooms are 3 decent sized and one bunk room, perfectly ok for a couple of children. Beds were all comfortable- not rock hard ones we often suffer. The 3 big rooms all have ensuites- another bonus when you are hurrying to get to the slopes in the morning. The kitchen is well equiped , though we didnt find the haiirdryer that was in the itinerary. The whole house was very warm- we had to turn our heating down in most bedrooms. The terrace outside is very large- you could easily have a meal outside feeding 10. Great spot to sit and watch chamonix down below. The price for this apartment is unbeatable- believe me - I scoured the net! Just remember not to let the main downstairs door slam, as a permanent resident lives upstairs and it must drive her nuts. She is so quiet that we thought nobody else was staying there! You might want to take some dvd s for the kids as the tv is french only. For the ski bus, turn left out of the door, take the first right at the top and the bus stop is there, about 4 mins walk.Check the boards for directions as they go from both sides.Have a great holiday.

Central location for Ski holiday

what can i say ? Its central location (intermarché is over the road) and size makes this apartement a great choice if you are a group of up to ten people to explore chamonix for skiing. Great location with a lot of room. Even for 10 people it is really enough space to store your gear and having fun in the evening after a great day of skiing. Pubs & Bars (chambre neuf, MBC, ...) are just a few minutes away.
