Your cozy cabin retreat awaits in Celina, Ohio. Our lake side home is perfect for romantic getaways, small families or friends that really each other! This 2-bedroom home features a queen bed, twin bed, and a full bed, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests. With amenities including an equipped kitchen, AC, heat, Wi-Fi, and a washer/dryer, your stay will be stress-free. Relax in this marvelous, 104-year-old lake side cabin after a day of exploring the area or fishing. You're sure to make fantastic memories with a stay here at Al's Place!

This is a new home for us, and while it is still in the process of being updated, it is a charming, little, old home with a unique floor plan right on the lake today. I hope you have a wonderful getaway in our lakeside town during your stay with us.

We try to understand that our local birdlife needs these critters for their survival.

Weekend lake getaway

It was everything we eere hoping for. Quiet, cozy and a very relaxing atmosphere. The only drawback was the bed. Although it seemed to be a newer bed, it was extremely firm. Too firm for my back.we would like to come back again; but we will bring a mattress pad.

My daughter and I have a tradition of going on a weekend getaway at least once a year, this year we chose this property for our trip. Let me just tell you, this is easily one of the best places we have ever stayed! As we arrived, we met the owner, very kind woman! This property has everything you could need for at least a day or two. All of the amenities for simple lakeside getaway. A large table to have family meals at looking at the water. (or in our case, a table for mom to kick daughter’s hind end in canasta!) Simply put, we cannot rate this property, high enough! Trust us, stay here!

Cozy little cottage

A nice little place for a winter retreat! The heat kept us nice and warm despite the frigid temperatures outside and it was fun to wake up each morning to a wide view of the frozen lake. Very quiet neighborhood, at least in February. I will note that you have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the only bathroom. It wasn't a big deal for us because it was just my wife, our 1-year-old, and me, but bigger families may want to plan accordingly. The host was very communicative and generous. Highly recommended!

Very clean home with a great view of the lake

Great place and wonderful views. If you have a dog though, theres no good place to take a walk unless you drive somewhere. Maybe because it was off season, but it was nice and quiet, except for the yappy dog across the street waking us up at 5:30 in the morning. Short drive to stores and restaurants made it a convenient place to stay.

PERFECTION

This property is outstanding! It is exactly as advertised. It’s clean and right on the water. We caught so many fish of all kinds. We enjoyed a bonfire and cooking on the grill. Our stay was just perfection! You have to go for a stay. You won’t regret it!

Nice quiet peace of heaven

It’s nothing fancy but we enjoyed it!! The ad mentioned a hot tub but there wasn’t one. No big deal and says it sleeps 6 but appears to only have beds for 5, one twin, one double and one queen. If you’re wanting to view the fireworks for the 4th. Not an ideal spot lol but still very nice and comfy. There’s a charcoal grill and small fire pit. Be aware that the only bathroom is inside the master bedroom. It was fine for us. But just an fyi. Same with the beds. The ac is window ac. We were close to town and the lake view is phenomenal! If you’re wanting peace and quiet and a great view, this is a very nice place.

Property was well equipped except for a tiny TV and total lack of internet connection. Admittedly we expected to spend lots of time outdoors, but still need internet! Also, owner requires you to wash whatever towels and washcloths used!

Great getaway

Went with our family,, me, my wife and our 2 kids. It's right on the water so if you have young ones just stay alert at all times. But if you do have kids there are some really amazing parks in Celina. My wife and I were blown away with how nice they were. Also if you're fishing we had a ton of success on night crawlers. Would definitely book this place again!!

Best view ever

The cottage was very comfortable. The view and location on the lake was great. A bald eagle visited daily along with herons and geese. The deck offers great seating and a beautiful view. Cottage was very clean and had everything you need. Will stay again.

We came from Florida and Alabama to be in the line of totality for the 2024 eclipse. Based on the reviews/comments, I expected a cozy, well-loved home on the lake; we definitely found this to be true. The lake view through the windows is magnetic, and the inside and outside were clean and comfortable…home-y. The owners had made sure we understood how things worked and where things were, through handy notes and instructions. We had brought supplies we thought we’d need, but nothing was really necessary except ourselves and our personal effects. The kitchen is snug, but well-equipped if you prefer to cook (grocery stores are nearby); and there are local menus and recommendations if you don’t. We grew up in this area, and The Lake House really felt like home. Thank you, Mr Al and Ms Cathy.
