Your cozy cabin retreat awaits in Celina, Ohio. Our lake side home is perfect for romantic getaways, small families or friends that really like each other! This 2-bedroom home features a queen bed, twin bed, and a full bed, ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests. With amenities including an equipped kitchen, AC, heat, Wi-Fi, and a washer/dryer, your stay will be stress-free. Relax in this marvelous, 104-year-old lake side cabin after a day of exploring the area or fishing. You're sure to make fantastic memories with a stay here at Al's Place!

This is a new home for us, and while it is still in the process of being updated, it is a charming, little, old home with a unique floor plan right on the lake today. I hope you have a wonderful getaway in our lakeside town during your stay with us.

We try to understand that our local birdlife needs these critters for their survival.

Grand Lake Getaway with Mom and Sister

This home was absolutely adorable. The view and back porch right on the lake was stunning!! Our favorite part was watching the Bald Eagles which roosted in the trees very close by!Host was very nice and accommodating.We look forward to staying here again!!

Absolutely the BEST! A total show stopper!

We fell in love with this cottage the moment we walked in! We literally said out loud "oh this is perfect!" Each room was lovingly decorated and fully prepared with all the amenities (and more!) that you could ever need. Bren has put her heart and soul into making this cottage a gorgeous home away from home. It's exceptionally clean, tidy, bright, and simply perfect! The deck and dock were ideal for our needs and a gorgeous tree provided some shade too. You get the perfect mix of sun and shade. We were pleasantly surprised to see there were 3 cruiser bikes to use too. We had a blast exploring the area on these bikes. No doubt about it, we'll be repeat customers! Strongly recommend this lakeside cottage. Bren was so pleasant and a delight to work with. Easy to contact and always so quick to respond to all of our questions. 10/10 recommend on every level!

Family time on Lake St Mary’s

We had a great stay even with temperatures in the 90’s. Our grandkids did some fishing off the dock and we caught 4 species. Bluegill, perch, catfish , and carp. They had a blast. We had other family with boats and they could dock at the cottage and visit. We had a cook out and the deck was good for a gathering of family. Bren was an outstanding host. Cottage is an excellent value for a family trip

Serene, scenic and special

The property was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to prepare meals. We especially appreciated the comfortable beds and the thoughtful touches like the birthday bunt cakes, coffee and creamer to get us started and firewood for our first night. The view is absolutely stunning and peaceful!!This host (Bren) went above and beyond for real! I have stayed at Vrbos many many times and she was the most informative the most helpful and ready to make your experience the best it can possibly be of anywhere I have stayed. She is truly part of what makes the stay so personable. I cannot say enough good about this place even right down to seeing an eagle while sitting on the back deck!! If you are looking for a place filled with beauty and peace, while being fully stocked with everything you could possibly need this, is it.

Graduation visit

Came up from Tennessee to visit family and friends for Celina’s graduation. The house was immaculate and the host was above amazing. Accommodations were way more than expected honestly. Fully furnished home with amenities that made it feel like home. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to visit the area or just relax with a very peaceful setting and amazing view.

It was everything we eere hoping for. Quiet, cozy and a very relaxing atmosphere. The only drawback was the bed. Although it seemed to be a newer bed, it was extremely firm. Too firm for my back.we would like to come back again; but we will bring a mattress pad.

Mother/Daughter weekend 2025

My daughter and I have a tradition of going on a weekend getaway at least once a year, this year we chose this property for our trip. Let me just tell you, this is easily one of the best places we have ever stayed! As we arrived, we met the owner, very kind woman! This property has everything you could need for at least a day or two. All of the amenities for simple lakeside getaway. A large table to have family meals at looking at the water. (or in our case, a table for mom to kick daughter’s hind end in canasta!) Simply put, we cannot rate this property, high enough! Trust us, stay here!

Cozy little cottage

A nice little place for a winter retreat! The heat kept us nice and warm despite the frigid temperatures outside and it was fun to wake up each morning to a wide view of the frozen lake. Very quiet neighborhood, at least in February. I will note that you have to walk through one of the bedrooms to get to the only bathroom. It wasn't a big deal for us because it was just my wife, our 1-year-old, and me, but bigger families may want to plan accordingly. The host was very communicative and generous. Highly recommended!

Very clean home with a great view of the lake

Great place and wonderful views. If you have a dog though, theres no good place to take a walk unless you drive somewhere. Maybe because it was off season, but it was nice and quiet, except for the yappy dog across the street waking us up at 5:30 in the morning. Short drive to stores and restaurants made it a convenient place to stay.

PERFECTION

Nice quiet peace of heaven

It’s nothing fancy but we enjoyed it!! The ad mentioned a hot tub but there wasn’t one. No big deal and says it sleeps 6 but appears to only have beds for 5, one twin, one double and one queen. If you’re wanting to view the fireworks for the 4th. Not an ideal spot lol but still very nice and comfy. There’s a charcoal grill and small fire pit. Be aware that the only bathroom is inside the master bedroom. It was fine for us. But just an fyi. Same with the beds. The ac is window ac. We were close to town and the lake view is phenomenal! If you’re wanting peace and quiet and a great view, this is a very nice place.

Property was well equipped except for a tiny TV and total lack of internet connection. Admittedly we expected to spend lots of time outdoors, but still need internet! Also, owner requires you to wash whatever towels and washcloths used!
