NOTE: Lake levels vary throughout the year and, when low during the cooler months, motorized boats cannot reach our dock. Kayaking and paddleboarding are fine year around. In the summer (between May 1 and Sept 8), the lake is at full depth and bringing motorized boats is no problem at all.

The great outdoors are right at your doorstep, and you’ll have easy access to endless outdoor fun during your stay. Our cabin is also within easy reach of the Carolina Raptor Center, the Charlotte Motor Speedway, and other local attractions. Downtown Charlotte is a mere 50-minute drive, while a 90-minute trip takes you to Asheville for a delightful day of exploration.
✔ Lake Norman State Park: Lake Norman State Park is located just a 2-minute drive from our cabin and offers a variety of outdoor activities for families and couples. Visitors can go fishing, boating, hiking, or take a relaxing picnic by the lake.
✔ Riverbend Park: Riverbend Park is a scenic park located along the Catawba River, just a few miles from downtown Catawba. The park offers hiking trails, picnic areas, and a playground for families to enjoy.
✔ Apple Hill Orchard & Cider Mill: Apple Hill Orchard & Cider Mill is a popular destination for families and couples in the fall. Visitors can pick their own apples, enjoy fresh cider, and take a hayride through the orchard. The orchard also features a pumpkin patch and a country store.

✹ GENERAL: Guests can enjoy full access to the entire home and outdoor area.
✹ PARKING: Free parking is available for 3 vehicles in the large driveway.
✹ Wi-Fi/INTERNET: Even though it`s a secluded property, we do have free high-speed internet! Starlink was installed in Jun-24 and it works great.
✹ FAMILY: Traveling with little ones? We’ve got you covered with a few supplies, including a Pack & Play/travel crib, a high chair, and baby gates.
✹ PETS: Pets are allowed with a $150 one-time pet fee with a maximum of two pets. This is a pet-friendly property, so please do not book if someone in your group has a pet allergy.
✹ DOCK: Our private dock is great for those that love the water, but for boaters, we do want to make sure you know ahead of time that (a) there isn`t any electricity on the dock, (b) the boat lift doesn`t work at this time (both of these items are on our to-do list!), and (c) the water depth averages 3.5 feet between May 1 and Sep 10 (boating season) and can vary greatly based on the lake water level. Please be sure your boat works well at that depth.
✹ WATERCRAFT: We have a one-person kayak, a two-person kayak, and two stand-up paddle boards available guest use. We also have life jackets of various sizes from adult to small child.
✹ RENTAL AGREEMENT: Please note that we do require signature of our rental agreement/liability waiver within 48 hours after booking.
✹ ID VERIFICATION: Before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through third-party provider Truvi. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Truvi will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please do so prior to arriving at the property to enable a quick and easy check-in process.
✹ REDUNDS/CANCELLATIONS: If the guest cancels the booking and is entitled to a refund, the refund will be reduced by 4% of the original booking price as this is the fee we must pay when processing a credit card transaction regardless.
We have one actively recording camera outside on the doorbell that records video and audio. There is also a smart home device in the living room, porch, and back patio which actively records noise decibel levels only. It does not record audio or video.
