The space:
Located on the second floor of a charming, historic building in the heart of Cartagena (please note, there is no elevator), Casa Alexandra offers a unique blend of modern comfort and timeless character. The apartment has been thoughtfully renovated and fully equipped to ensure a relaxing and memorable stay, while the communal areas of the building retain their original features, reflecting the property’s 100+ year history and offering guests an authentic local experience.

Casa Alexandra invites you to immerse yourself in the energy and culture of Cartagena, all while enjoying the comforts of home. As you enter, you’ll be welcomed into a bright and inviting lounge with large windows that overlook the vibrant city center. With stylish seating, abundant natural light, and a calming ambiance, it’s the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring.

From the lounge, a beautifully decorated hallway leads you further into the home. The hallway features unique touches, including an electric piano and handcrafted, local art.

Next, you’ll find the cozy blue bedroom. This room includes a memory foam double bed, a large wardrobe for your belongings, and a large window for natural light and fresh air.

Continuing down the hallway, you’ll arrive at the fully equipped kitchen, complete with modern appliances, cooking utensils, and a DeLonghi espresso machine for coffee enthusiasts. Whether you’re preparing a quick breakfast or a full meal, this space is designed to meet all your culinary needs. Beyond the kitchen, there’s an enclosed patio with a laundry and utility room, which houses a washer, an iron, and an ironing board for added convenience.

The master bedroom is a tranquil haven featuring a plush king-size bed, a large wardrobe, a drawer set, and a flat-screen smart TV for cozy evenings in.

The main bathroom offers dual sinks, a separate shower, a luxurious bathtub, and a window for ventilation. We provide towels, shower toiletries, a heated towel bar, and a hairdryer for your convenience.

The third bedroom, known as the Temple Suite, adds extra privacy and charm to the home. This beautifully designed space includes a memory foam double bed, its own en-suite bathroom, a sitting area with a Smart TV, and a small balcony, which makes it feel like a private retreat within the home.

For additional space and entertainment, Casa Alexandra also includes a cozy lower-level lounge. This versatile area features a convertible bed, a Smart TV, a drawer set, a guitar, game consoles, board games, and an exposed brick wall along the stairwell that adds character to the space. It’s an excellent spot for family fun or additional guests.

Finally, the communal rooftop terrace offers breathtaking views of the city center in the front and historic ruins in the back. Taking in the lively street festivities below, this terrace is the perfect place to soak in the beauty of Cartagena.

Guest access:
Our guests will receive two set of keys granting access to the building, apartment, and rooftop terrace. They will have private access to all areas of the house, as well as shared access to the communal rooftop terrace. However, we kindly request that guests refrain from opening any locked cabinets or doors designated for storage.
Other things to note
The property is located on the second floor and does not have an elevator. Guests are welcome to use the communal rooftop terrace, but we kindly ask that it is treated with respect as a shared space.

Check-in is from 3:00 PM, and check-out is at 10:00 AM. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee early check-ins or late check-outs.

- NO SMOKING
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the apartment. Smoking is allowed only in designated outdoor spaces, and all waste must be disposed of properly.
- NO PETS ALLOWED
No pets are allowed on the property.
- QUIET TIME
Quiet hours are between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM to respect neighbors and maintain a peaceful atmosphere.
- SECURITY & ENERGY
Please ensure all doors and windows are securely closed when leaving the property.
- NO EXTRA GUESTS
No extra guests are allowed without prior approval.
- REPORTING ISSUES
Please report any problems or maintenance issues during your stay so we can address them promptly and ensure your comfort.
