You’ll be staying in two fresh, clean duplexes side by side—just a stone’s throw from the beach. With six bedrooms spread out in separate parts of the homes, everyone gets plenty of privacy, making it perfect for a large family or group that wants to be together without being on top of each other. Two kitchens and two living rooms allow everyone to slip in and out at their own pace. It’s easy to run back and forth to the beach or the Carolina Beach Boardwalk as often as you want—you’re that close. When it’s time to gather, we’ve upgraded the backyards with an adjoining gate, so you can pull both picnic tables together for an oyster roast, hot‑dog night, or any laid‑back coastal hangout.

Private driveway for ten vehicles (size-dependent). Golf Carts Allowed - Outlet in Garage. Garages are for extra storage-do not park guest cars inside-Bikes are for guest use.

Parking: Private Driveway for up to ten vehicles. Do NOT park on the grass. No RVs, boats, or trailers are permitted to park on the premises.



Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages on the end of the beds. 



Rental Policies:

In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.



Things to bring:

Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.



Arrival/Departure:

Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm.

Check-out is by 10 am. 

We adhere to this policy, so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.



Guest Access:

Electronic Lock Entry.



House Rules:

No events such as weddings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, sororities/fraternities.

No smoking.

You must be at least 25 to rent this unit.



Pet Policy:

Up to 6 Dogs Allowed (3 per side MAX). The first dog is included in the price of the Rental. Subsequent dogs are subject to an additional payment! Carolina and Kure Beaches are pet-friendly, but you must follow town guidelines. Please check the town website for beach pet restrictions.



Cancellation Policy:

If you cancel when your arrival date is more than 60 days away, you will receive a full refund.  If you cancel when your arrival date is less than 60 days away, you will forfeit your deposit.

The Neighborhood:

Adventure awaits on Pleasure Island. Exploring the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher, home to incredible coastal wildlife, or take the scenic car ferry across the Cape Fear River for a relaxing visit to the charming town of Southport where quaint streets are filled with unique antique shops and galleries. History lovers can walk the scenic, live‑oak‑lined trails of the Fort Fisher State Historic Site, where Civil War bunkers still stand. Nature enthusiasts will love the island’s two state‑managed coastal preserves: Carolina Beach State Park, home to rare Venus flytraps found naturally only in this region, and the Fort Fisher State Recreation Area, known for pristine beaches, marshes, and wildlife viewing. Both offer beautiful opportunities for hiking, paddling, fishing, and spotting pelicans or even nesting loggerhead sea turtles.



After a day outdoors, unwind on your private balcony with a sunset cocktail, or head into town to explore the best of Carolina Beach. The Carolina Beach Boardwalk, ranked one of the Top 10 Boardwalks in the U.S. by Food & Wine, features classic seaside fun—local restaurants, an arcade, ice cream shops, bars, and the famous Britt’s Donuts. In summer, enjoy weekly fireworks and live entertainment, carnival rides, family nights, and Flamingo BINGO. Off‑season brings signature island events like the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival. Pleasure Island offers something unforgettable for every traveler—adventure, relaxation, and the perfect coastal escape.



Getting Around:

Getting around Pleasure Island is a breeze! While parking can be limited in peak season, especially in popular spots, paid private or public parking is available. We recommend exploring Carolina Beach and Kure Beach on foot or by bike – they're super walkable and bike-friendly. You'll find safe pedestrian and bike routes, including the Island Greenway. Renting a golf cart or bike is easy, too, with several local rental companies. Golf carts are one of the easiest ways to cruise around the island. Rentals are simple to arrange, and once you're behind the wheel, you can zip along any road posted 35 mph or under.
