We had a great time at the Oceanfront Cottage! The location was easy to find, near lots of great amenities and the private beachfront was great for lounging and taking in the sunrise/sunset. Thanks for a great stay!

The house is nice and my enjoyed spending time together. Couple of items of concern 1. HVAC is not working. The unit looked really old and I was told it was due to saltwater however; the other units in that area did not look like this. 2. Window shade was missing in 2bdrm, so you could see through at night. 3. The freezer does not open which impacted us cooking seafood for dinner. The temperature was 80 and it was hot at night. Other than the items mentioned it was a really nice home.

We really enjoyed our trip to Fort Knox! We especially loved the private beach and beautiful view. We have rented many beach houses in the past, and this view might be my favorite! We especially appreciated the dog gate on the deck that allowed our fur babies to be a part of the indoor outdoor experience. The property was very well maintained, outside and inside. The inside of the cottage was adorable, well kept and clean. The beach access was about a five minute walk and either direction, it wasn’t a dealbreaker, but would have appreciated more explanation/directions on how to access the beach once checked in as many closer accesses have been closed to the public. The location, the property is on is excellent! You’re extremely close to the Carolina Beach pier, which has a restaurant and tiki bar that we took full advantage of every day we were there. You’re also a short drive into town where there are other restaurants, so it was nice to be just a five minute drive away. All in all, great experience, great property, and great price. We would write this day a 5/5. It was the stay we will never forget, we got engaged on the private beach and have excellent photos for remembering. Thank you for hosting us, we would love to rebook with you again!

View was amazing but size was only 1,001 sq ft, it was listed at 1,600. It was listed as private beach area but there were people in that area that everyday. No beach access, listed as a few steps away. Not so. One toilet would not flush and the sink would not drain in the same bathroom. It took two days and two different plumbers to resolve these issues. If you rent here bring a vacuum cleaner I swept sand everyday. I suppose it was in the locked closet. Area was quiet and safe but not worth the 6k we paid.

Oceanfront

The house was perfect for our stay. You're definitely oceanfront and that's great. However, there's no beach in front of the house to layout on. You have to walk quite a ways or drive to an access were the beach is wide. The kitchen isn't well stocked for cooking. Overall, it suited our needs and we enjoyed our stay.

Great family vacation spot!

The property was just as described in the listing. The small beach area right outside was perfect for the kids to play in the sand and the rocks lining the yard kept them safe from the water. The water and beach access was only a short walking distance from the home. We enjoyed family time and meals sitting around the table together on the nice covered porch looking out over the beautiful and peaceful view of the ocean. The house had enough space for 5 adults and three children and came fully stocked with essentials. The living room was a bit small but bedrooms were spacious and with such beautiful scenery and fun outside, we did not spend much time indoors during the day. Neighborhood was quiet and clean. Would definitely rent again!
