Whilst set in the tranquil and beautiful Cumbrian countryside, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful regions in England, they are not far from an abundance of local attractions waiting to be explored. The Lake District National Park, the majestic Solway Coast, historic Carlisle and the Scottish Borders with Gretna Green are within easy reach.

Of course a visit to Hadrian’s Wall a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can explore the history of the wall and its dramatic landscape at over twenty fascinating sites is certainly a must.
