Located in the village of Wetheral, this charming cottage enjoys a stunning position above the River Eden, where a Victorian viaduct stretches across the water, offering scenic pedestrian access to the village of Corby. The cottage has a village store, coffee shop, restaurant and pub, all within 500 metres. It is an ideal retreat for couples eager to explore the rich heritage and natural beauty of the region, perfectly located between Hadrian's Wall (14 miles) and the Lake District (within 20 miles). Wetheral itself offers a number of scenic walks. Take in the stunning views from the viaduct before descending the famous â99 stepsâ for a stroll along the River Eden towards Wetheral Woods. Along the way, look out for the spectacular Cascade at Corby Castle before exploring Constantine's Cells in the heart of the woods. The historic border city of Carlisle is only 3 miles away.
Tucked away in a private courtyard, this charming studio cottage offers complete privacy and a peaceful setting. Upon arrival, guests benefit from a dedicated private parking space, and the cottage itself is set apart from other on-site buildings, ensuring a quiet and undisturbed stay.
