This is a fabulously kid & adult friendly home perfectly suited if you're looking to escape to the hidden coastal gem of Cardiff by the Sea. With ocean vies, a heated pool and spa, amazing outdoor space for entertaining, privacy & quiet abound, its the perfect getaway home.

The space The finest home in Cardiff - perfectly set up for families and groups of 6-8 people traveling together, with little ones, wanting privacy and exclusivity while enjoying ocean views and a 2 minute drive to beaches, restaurants and shopping. The pool was constructed in 2023. Approx: 28' x 16' wide. At deepest point depth is 6'. The shallow depth is 3'. Hot tub seats 6-8 people. The pool is saltwater. Most important for any home rental you are considering is the reviews. We are honored and pleased to show that our reviews are ALL 5 star. Most folks have stated the pictures do not do the home justice. We think you'll feel the same. **The home went under a total renovation and remodel in June 2018 lasting approximately one year, so reviews prior to that were for the 'old' home. Nonetheless we believe our 'new' home is far superior, larger, nicer, safer and generally truly luxurious.

This home features a recently renovated and contemporary layout, both interior and exterior, with exposed ipe and santa barbara finish stucco as well as all the contemporary and modern furnishings inside for you to help you 'get away from it all'. This home is fully loaded all the way down to the in cabinet Miele coffee machine. With magnificent views of the Pacific Ocean from the master bedroom, you are just a mile (+/-) away from the best beaches San Diego has to offer ... Cardiff Reef, Georges, Swamis and Pipes (to name just a few)... This home has a full kitchen with all the amenities, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances (Thermador refrigerator, stove, oven, dishwasher) gas cooktop, and even a stainless steel pot filler. The cupboards are stocked with the vacation rental ready dishware, stemware, and glassware. Additionally all necessary cooking and eating utensils and dishware are provided.

The first floor living room features a 55" Samsung Frame TV with amazon firestick that doubles as art work when not in use. With recessed lighting and concrete (micro top) floors on the entry level, and hardwood floors on the second floor, upgraded bathrooms, classic design furniture pieces like the Eames chair and Jacobsen egg chair and collectors pieces, in addition to one of the best backyards for entertaining in the entire area, this home is complete from inside out. While the inside of the home is wonderfully appointed, the backyard is this property's featured attraction according to past guests. As mentioned above, couches and midcentury modern chair seating, dedicated outdoor dining table with umbrella, natural gas fireplace, and a natural gas bbq island make the backyard a truly exception extension of this home. In addition the home offers synthetic turf in the backyard and a handful of kid friendly play accessories for climbing and play.

A large modern umbrella provides shade during warm sunny days, and a trellis overhang offers the same above for those wanting to relax off the second story master bedroom while checking out the ocean or an amazing Cardiff sunset. Two palm springs midcentury chairs are shaded by the overhang of the master bedroom deck, but there's plenty of room to move them into direct sunlight. From the second floor master suite enjoy sunset and ocean views. The master bedroom also has his/her bathroom sinks, double shower heads in a recently remodeled bathroom, bathtub and 40" HDTV with Amazon Fire stick. The california king size bed is situated so you can wake up with views of the ocean. There is a chest of drawers for your clothing storage. The master bedroom closet is unavailable. This room also features a Peloton bike, which is available for use but guests will need to have their own unique login/account.

Finally, enjoy evenings on the private deck off the master with spectacular ocean and sunset views. There is one kid friendly bedroom on the second floor, just steps from the master. It uses the the 'rainbow' bathroom; but is not jack and jill, as you must exit the bedroom in order to enter the bathroom.

The downstairs (first floor) guest bedrooms include one bedroom situated in the back of the home just off the living room (queen bed), that faces the back of the home/backyard and the other bedroom (queen bed). This bedroom faces the front of the home/front garden. These guest bedrooms share the white tile bathroom with floating walnut sink/vanity and walk in shower, but are not jack and jill, as you must exit the bedroom in order to enter the bathroom. This location is a dream, just east of the freeway (I-5) you are within 3 minutes (approx 1.5 mile drive) to local parks and beaches and some of the best north county coastal shopping, restaurants, lounges, and surfing the area has to offer. Also world class golf awaits at the infamous Torrey Pines resort. For most families world famous Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Legoland and Seaworld are all a short drive away. In fact, Disneyland too is just an hour away! If it's an adult getaway then venture to Temecula wine country and check out the best wine region in southern California. Indian casinos are abound in San Diego. For the outdoor types hike Torrey Pines state park, or run/bike the coastline, bird watch at the local lagoons, or get ripped at one of the many crossfit, pilates, or yoga studios. Take a two minute drive to the famous Cardiff Reef surf spot and gorgeous crystal blue beaches. Relax after a day at the beach with a hot outdoor shower and retreat to the outdoor gas fireplace for evening drinks and/or smore.

At night enjoy wonderful restaurants and nightlife in Cardiff or nearby Encinitas or Solana Beach. Great markets and small beach cafes in nearby town to enjoy. The home has password protected high speed WiFi. The home has a NEST touch heating and cooling system All linens and towels provided. Back ups provided as well. This home has an exterior camera (ring doorbell) and exterior outdoor camera. For any reservations longer than 1 month, we will require an initial booking on VRBO (5-25 days) and any subsequent stay/extension that results in the total reservation being a month or longer period, to be contracted directly with Property Owner/Manager under California Department of Real Estate guidelines. In such instances a separate lease may also have various fees and minimums for security deposits, utilities, pets, cleaning that are not described on the VRBO site. We require that at least 1 adult over the age of 28 required to be renting/staying at property during rental period. We may also require background and credit check for lease purposes (if reservation is over 1 month).

Upon booking, you will be provided with local information and the property manager will be available for in depth discussion regarding the lay of the land and the home. Other things to note The quiet and family orientated neighborhood makes your stay safe. Our home is enclosed with fences for your kids and pets. Our streets are well lit for evening walks. \\

**We are available to you for standard check in times should you require any assistance from 4pm - 10pm … for after these hours we may be available for emergency only and only then via VRBO message app. We apologize if this causes any issues, but please consider this ahead of booking. Likewise, please advise us before traveling, on your estimated time of arrival so we can accommodate if possible. Pool & Spa Heating: We try to follow a schedule of pool heating such that during rental times we run the pool heater to 80-82 degrees and upon request activate the hot tub heating as desired (up to 102 degrees). During that time, the pool heating may not be functional as the system is a single heating system (thus if the hot tub is heating, the pool is not). If no hot tub heating is requested the pool will attempt to stay heated from 10am -9pm (or thereabouts). This will help to ensure that your pool water is heated to a comfortable temperature throughout the day.

For summer/ warm seasons, closing the pool cover at night, and warm day time temperatures will naturally warm the pool). In those periods pool heating via the heater may not be available). Please confirm before booking if you have specific pool heating needs so we can see how to best accommodate This home uses outdoor security cameras for guest and staff safety. We require those to be left untouched during any reservation. Please note, some items shown in photographs may not be available during a rental period including alcohol, some personal items of owners, and anything owners may consider. If you have determined there is something you consider material or 'must have' prior to booking, please request in writing and we will confirm before accepting or confirming your stay/reservation.

Refunds or credits or cancelation without penalty will not be possible. The VRBO app does not properly capture our TV settings: we have a living room 55" HDTV Frame Samsung Smart TV; all apps are preloaded and include Netflix, Hulu, Prime, YouTube, eg- you will need your own login to use. The master bedroom 44" Samsung is also a Smart TV and has pre loaded apps which will require a user login. We do not have Cable; apologies for any confusion. Summer 2025: Construction of an above garage addition is occurring at a neighboring property . Update (6/19/25: The construction portion (is done). They have completed the build. Whats not done as of today (6/19/25) is the siding / painting. But that hasnt generated much / any disturbance and we've heard they expect it completely wrapped by end of month. (June)
