Some notes about this property to be aware of. The listing says that there is a king size bed. No king sized bed. I informed the host and gave ample time to update the listing to reflect this fact yet at the time of this review the listing still states there is a king size bed. The lower unit is separate from the upstairs. I would not be happy in the lower unit as there was an unpleasant odor present; best described as musty or not fresh. This is a non-pet property but there was a significant amount of pet hair/evidence present. There was a damaged set of blinds in one of the bedrooms that was replaced on our second day. It should have been taken care of before we arrived. This property is on the water with a beautiful view. There is a significant amount of boat traffic as this one of the main thoroughfares from cape coral. There is a dock on the property but due to the boat traffic and heavy current in the area I did not feel comfortable leaving my boat there. At times the current is strong enough to be considered river-like. Fishing from the dock is possible but will be a little challenging due to the boat traffic at certain times of day. The property is directly on the main road so there is some traffic noise. Matlacha is a fairly quiet place so this is not too bad if you are accustom to city noise. All In all I would say if your are looking for a budget friendly place with a nice view of the water this may be a good fit for you. Just don't plan on docking your boat here.
