Along the East Fork of the Pigeon River in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina, Goldilocks is a hand-hewn log cabin set in a quiet wooded valley where days unfold in mountain and river time, with equal room for adventure and lingering. Original Appalachian timber and dovetail joinery give the cabin its unpretentious character. A newly-built kitchen, handsome furnishings, and exceptionally comfortable beds give it its ease.

The cabin sits within private forest, the front porch overlooking a small pond. Beyond an old old apple orchard, a path leads to a private stretch of the East Fork of the Pigeon River.

Inside, the living room gathers around a large stone fireplace. The kitchen opens to a dining area built for shared meals and unhurried time. Outside, a broad slate patio for gathering, grilling, and games. The covered porch looks out over the pond and into the forest.

A King bedroom on the main floor and a Queen loft above, each with its own private bathroom, dressed in luxurious linens over mattresses you won't want to leave.
Pisgah National Forest, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the trails, waterfalls, golf, and rivers of Western North Carolina are just beyond the valley.
