Summary:

Does your owner need a little off-leash time? This gorgeous pet friendly 900 sq ft one bedroom ground floor garden condo is the perfect place for a little "me-time" for humans and pooches alike. Chill out in air conditioned comfort in this stunning resort, complete with indoor pool, hot tub and & One Wellness Spa. Cook up storm in the luxury kitchen (complete with wine fridge!), or throw a steak on the new gas BBQ and relax on the undercover patio.



The Space:

Located 15 minutes from Banff, and approximately one hour from Calgary, this home away from home comes with a fully equipped kitchen and a lovely covered patio with BBQ and seating to enjoy the mountain air. We love where we live, and we love to share it with guests, so when you stay with us we welcome you properly, with added touches such as freshly roasted local coffee and locally made, 100% natural bath and body products. The entire apartment is kept clean using only eco-friendly cleaning products (no nasty chemicals here!).

Guest Access:

You'll have private access to the apartment, including a bedroom, living area, and ensuite bathroom. Guests can use the fully equipped kitchen and indoor fireplace. Shared facilities include a hot tub and swimming pool. Free parking is available.



The Neighborhood:

Solara Resort and Spa is located in the main tourist condo area. The local bus is nearby, with connections to a bus to Banff , Lake Louise and Calgary. If you come by airport shuttle the stop is a couple of minutes up the road. This is a licensed, legal condo, so your booking is assured. Coffee shops, liquor store, general store etc. are all 5 minutes walk away. If you need a little pampering, One Wellness spa is gorgeous, and is located within Solara Resort. There are restaurants, coffee shops and bars close by, see our Welcome Book for details.



The apartment is best suited for couples, but there is extra accommodation for 1-2 on the comfy sofa bed if you need it. The indoor pool and hot tub are a welcome place to revive sore muscles after a day of adventure, and if you want to work off dinner, there is a fantastic gym in One Wellness. Personal coaching, use of the sauna and steam room (highly recommended) and full spa service are available at extra cost. Can't be bothered walking to town? There's excellent dining at Shops of Canmore (5 minutes walk), Bridgette Bar in Spring Creek (7 minutes walk - Our Favourite) or The Malcolm Hotel in Spring Creek (7 minutes walk - the Stirling Lounge is lovely!)



Canmore offers loads of opportunities for the adventurous and serene alike. Hike, bike, climb, ski, white water raft or canoe, and when you need a little downtime, settle with a picnic blanket and a book in a park besides the river in summer, or cosy up in front of the fire in winter.



Getting Around:

Free local Roam transit is available within Canmore, with connections to Banff and Lake Louise (fares apply). Legacy Trail bike path to Banff is literally a one minute ride away. Canmore is highly walkable, with dedicated paths for both foot traffic and bikes all over town. Bikes can be rented from Gear Up, a 5 minute walk from the home.

My husband and I brought our dogs along for a weekend mountain getaway, Pooches Paradise was the perfect home base for our stay! Check-in instructions were clear, making for a smooth arrival. This comfortable, well appointed condo has ground level access, the perfect space when staying with pets. Lots of great walking paths just outside your door, and close proximity to restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay here again!

Checkin was a bit chaotic as the code first provided in the email was “wrong”, took 3 calls to owner and then another to another owner as the first person was driving. The property itself is beautiful, it has everything we needed and more. The patio was nice, table is wobbly so be careful. The rocks surrounding the patio are pretty to look at but difficult to cross with a dog. The bathroom plumbing yikes (now I dunno who’s responsible - owner or building itself) BUT we all showered in cold to luke warm water our two day stay. The only time the water ran hot in the bath tub was 4am when I could not get nothing but hot water out of the faucets (kitchen and bathroom). Toilet also not a good flush, it usually took two goes at flushing. Overall, the stay was good and the kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub.

We had an excellent stay in this property. Neat and well maintained. Communication was great. Always send an email to ensure you have a smooth and enjoyable stay. We had everything we need, from utensils, washer and dryer and etc. Walkable to downtown Canmore and only 15 -20 mins drive to Banff. The only downside is you can hear people from upstairs walking or dragging something. And there is a close by off leash dog park 10 mins by foot.

Large condo with everything you need

Large clean condo with everything you need and more. We have stayed at solara resort before. This place looks on to the courtyard and main floor. It’s easy to let your puppers out to do its business. Unlike other Vrbo owners, you are not requested to clean the who condo before you leave the only thing was to remove the garbage and recycle to the room across the hall overall great place to stay.

My daughters and I stayed for 3 nights. The condo is perfect. Well maintained, very clean and has everything you need and more for a relaxing and pleasant stay. The complex is very quiet and conveniently located to everything you need. The host, Jane, communicates extremely well and checks in regularly to see how you are doing. The surrounding property is nice but not as well maintained or clean as Jane’s condo. Thank you Jane for your hospitality. It made for a perfect weekend of skiing and dining for my girls and I.

Lovely place to stay. Very welcoming upon entering, good location, fully stacked kitchen and very convenient with a dog! Would recommend!Travelled with an infant, and my only comment would be to bring a noise machine as the unit above can be a bit loud as the sound proofing between floors is not the best- could hear the unit upstairs pull out a kitchen chair and push it back in against the floor and walking. Between units is very sound proof.

Can’t get a much better location to stay than this condo. It is well stocked for all your needs. Great location for having the dog along. Easy access to outside for bathroom breaks for the dog. Within a few minutes you can be in the heart of downtown with all the great walking paths around town. Great communication for check in/ check out process. Will be on the top of my list to stay here again

It was very difficult to find parking nearby the Bow elevator. Parking lot was full. We didn’t understand the different buildings and despite the best notes from our host, we were lost! We enquired at the reception and were given a map of the facility and directions which were very helpful to find our suite.

Perfect mountain getaway!

My two sisters and I spent an amazing two nights here! I originally thought it would be too far to walk into town but it was a leisurely 20 minute walk to everything! Excellent choice of restaurants near the property and anything you could want in town! Quaint shopping, galleries, we even hit a farmer's and artisan market! I would ABSOLUTELY stay here again! Perfection! 10/10

Great place overall. Only downside is the noise. Very loud AC that turns on every so often and woke me up overnight. Also somebody upstairs was very loud with banging noises at 7am.

Shoulder Season in Canmore

My wife’s birthday is April 12, so every year, we try and do something special by way of a small trip. One year Paris, another Orlando
you get the drift. However, this year we stayed closer to home and chose this gorgeous property in Solara, Canmore. Wonderfully set up - great booking and check in process. Tons of thoughtful touches in the suite - shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tin foils, spices, ice in the freezer, every single kitchen gadget you could dream of - and best of all, fresh roasted coffee, ready to be ground up for a wonderful brew the next morning. Price was extremely competitive (cheaper than a comparable hotel room which didn’t even have a kitchenette). All in all, we will be coming back for sure
