It was okay for a short stay

Apartment was a nice size and space in a convenient location. Needs some maintenance though: Shower stall door is broken and shower laundry door doesn’t close properly. Bed is VERY firm. Cupboard full of out of date food is weird - seemed like I was staying in someone’s home - which I don’t really like. Also, instructions on where to find the advertised Pool and BBQ in the property would have been nice. Never did find them - so cannot verify they exist.

Access

The property was clean and very accessible to the centre of Canberra and transport. However after getting access to the car parking on level B2 it would have been a good idea if the parking area advised us where the lift for Edinburgh Tower was as from our parking bay the only lift in view was Gordon Street Tower, so I believe that the car parking areas should have signs indicating which lift to use. I believe the access should also advise which level the room is in.

Great Location

The apartment had everything we needed, it was clean and spacious in a very nice complex and was convenient for exploring Canberra. Most places we wanted to visit were within a brisk walk of the apartment, we didn't have a car but managed to get about using public transport, our feet or Uber! If the weather had been better it would have been lovely to sit out on the balcony. There is not much in the line of shops or restaurants in the area so you have to go into town for supplies or eating out. Canberra Centre seems to have suffered more than other cities we visited, perhaps from Covid, there were a lot of empty buildings which give the city a bit of a run down feeling but the sites such as the Government Building, the Botanical Gardens and the War Memorial more than made up for any of the Cities shortcomings. I would stay at this apartment again.

A property that has potential

The property is very spacious however, the quality of cleaning was appalling. Firstly, there were lots of dirty dishes in the cupboard. We put them in the dishwasher, however learned that the dishwasher was broken with an error message suggesting water flooding. This was reported but not repaired during our stay. This meant we had to wash all the dirty dishes by hand, of which they did not leave enough dishwasher liquid to wash for the duration of our stay. The kitchen floor was putrid with blobs of tomato sauce stains. Carpet had not been vacuumed with my guest saying look at all the crumbs on the floor. The toilet under the rim was black. The shower banged all the time when in use. The iron base was covered in pink, which made it unuseable until I cleaned it as I needed to iron something. No instructions for dishwasher, washer machine, or any details of the tv (which has poor quality signal) or streaming. In fact, we found the streaming device hidden in the couch. The mop is pathetic, with no capacity to squeeze out the water and when I emptied the water from mopping the kitchen floor, it was black. The vacuum cleaner is pathetic and does not pick up the crumbs. The property has potential to be something quite outstanding but poor maintenance with poor management oversight, and extremely poor cleaning, makes this property very underwhelming. I wouldn't stay here again because of the slow response of MadeComfy.
