Welcome to Lazy Squirrel, one of the newest, most beautiful cabins in Red River Gorge. The living space is open and inviting. The cabin is ideally situated 15 minutes from hiking, climbing, and recreational attractions. Beautiful décor, custom showers, and a gourmet kitchen are just the beginning. Enjoy a wrap around covered deck with plenty of seating options, a hot tub & floating bed swing. You will not find these amenities anywhere else!

Inside you`ll find serenity the moment you open the front door. `Lazy Squirrel` is a newly constructed, two-story, loft-style cabin that sleeps 8 comfortably, nestled near Campton Lake in Red River Gorge. This cabin has everything you need for an amazing Red River Gorge getaway and is decorated to make you feel right at home. The fully equipped kitchen makes meal time a breeze and contains standard coffee maker, Keurig and microwave, electric stove, dishwasher and full size refrigerator. You`ll be sure to enjoy the free WiFi, private hot tub, flat-screen TV and Gas fireplace. The spacious outfoor area includes a charcoal grill (bring your own charcoal), outdoor fire pit, and 8 person jetted hot tub!

First Floor Bedroom includes Queen Bed.
2nd Floor Bedroom includes Queen Bed.
Loft includes two Queen Beds.

We provide Fresh Linens and towels.
We also provide Shampoo, Conditioner, Body soap, Laundry Detergent, Trash Bags, Dish Washing liquid, Hand soaps, 3 Rolls of Toilet Paper and paper towels.

We have Local firewood that can be bought. It is located on our property and we can let you know how to buy some if you would like. Please let us know via message.

On the wrap around deck, you will find cozy seating areas, a porch swing to melt away your worries, a daybed swing for an afternoon nap and a huge hot tub.

Lazy Squirrel is secluded and away from the chaos, yet close to the greatest area attractions in Red River Gorge.
Located just 1 minute from Campton lake where you can enjoy fishing, canoeing or hiking.

The famous Nada Tunnel entrance to the Red River Gorge is just 15 minutes away from the property. You don`t want to miss this! This is where you will find countless hiking trails, rock climbing, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, sight-seeing.

For a memorable experience, hike to the famous swinging bridge over the Red River, located upriver from the Jump Rock and Swimming Hole.

Natural Bridge State Resort Park features the Natural Bridge, a million-years-old sandstone arch, which is accessible by hiking up and down the huge mountain or by taking a slow and easy ride on the sky lift. For water activities, like fishing, kayaking, canoeing and stand up paddleboarding, make your way to nearby Mill Creek Lake.

See the mountains from a whole new perspective when you go ziplining over the treetops for a challenging thrill in Cliffview, or drive through the Gorge to the family-friendly zipline spot in Frenchburg, where everyone from kids to grandpa can have a ball!

If you`re looking for even more thrills, visit Southeast Mountain Guides for world-famous rock climbing and rappelling! They offer guided climbs if you`re new to the activity.

Kids will love the Kentucky Reptile Zoo, which offers in-person venom extractions. Stop by Thrillsville to go kayaking through the 100-year-old limestone cave and putt-putt golf that kids and even the grandparents will enjoy.

If you love horseback riding, Whispering Valley Riding Trails are just 20 minutes away in Beattyville, where you will see waterfalls, ponds, rock outcroppings as you ride under the canopy of trees. The views are sure to be amazing!

Great restaurants are also nearby! Be sure to check out Miguel`s Pizza, a classic restaurant that has been around for 30 years, Red River Rockhouse, a newer restaurant owned by young rock climbers, Smokehouse BBQ, and Sky Bridge Station, which features gourmet hot dogs and beer on tap. 145 Steakout is another Great option only a couple minutes from the cabin with lots of beers on tap!

Full access to entire Cabin. This Property `Bear Branch Cabins` includes 5 separate cabins all private but in close proximity to one another. This would make a great Corporate retreat or large family retreat hangout.

* NOTE: This cabin, while offering deluxe accommodations, is in a heavily wooded area. Occasionally, guests may experience weather conditions or power outages that are out of our control. We will do all we can to assist but are not responsible for issues beyond our control.
HOT TUB: We make every effort to keep the hot tub functioning perfectly, as it is the most requested amenity. However, mechanical problems may occur that cannot be resolved quickly in this remote area and no refunds are made if this occurs. Enjoy the many other amenities, beautiful surroundings and area adventures during your stay.

No pets are permitted in or on the Rental Unit. A Minimum of $350.00 per pet will be charged to the Guest for pets brought.

Please contact us as soon as possible if your plans change and you must cancel or reschedule your stay. No refunds are permitted due to sudden inclement winter weather – but come anyway and get snowed in with us!
