Moonstone Beachfront Escape

Whether you are planning a peaceful couple’s getaway or an active family vacation, this is a wonderful direct oceanfront home on popular Moonstone Beach for you to enjoy. Spectacular180-degree views of the Pacific Ocean & Coastline that surrounds this 3 bedroom; 2 bath home. Renovated, new LVP wood look floors, primary bathroom updated tile, tub, vanities, etc. The living area faces the sea, capturing white water, full ocean, boardwalk, and sunset views. The front deck overlooks the Boardwalk, the ocean and has a BBQ on the deck too. A family room on the first floor provides space for families to spread out and relax. Gaze at people surfing, enjoying the boardwalk, and even passing whales when the season is right. This home is within walking distance to dinner at Sea Chest or Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill, or just a short 2 blocks to the West Village. Close by is Leffingwell Landing, Tidepools, Elephant Seals, Lighthouse, Hearst Castle, and the beach. You may even spot some migrating whales! Shamel Park (with a swimming pool and children’s play area) is close by as well. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, pans, and small appliances for those who like to cook. Bring your laptop and use the free Wi Fi. A washer and dryer are also available for your use. So many things that added to the overall enjoyment of the stay. - The deck with ample seating overlooking the ocean.- Easy access to the boardwalk bordering the beach.- Up to date furniture particularly the 4 comfy chairs with throws on each chair placed at the picture window overlooking the sea.- Large L-shaped sofa that more than accommodated the 4 adults (parents & 2 grown children) to stretch out in front of the wall-mounted TV.- Loved exploring the little town of Cambria and it's just 10 miles up the coast to the Hearst Castle - a must on our places to visit. - The kitchen is well equipped. - Very comfortable and clean.

We were happy with the location and really enjoyed the view. The home had a good amount of space for 2 kids 3 adults. WE had two serious falls/slipps while coming home on the stairs and stepping our of the shower to reach for a towel. Stairs had sharp metal edges hard to navigate and all the floors lacking safety matts or any kind of rugs. Bedroom had no wifi and LR had terrible wifi. The refridge ice machine was broken, main screen/glass door did not latch, the house when we arrived had a musty smell and the downstairs bathroom door wouldn't close. I would not recommend the house for a rental.

Perfect spot and perfect place. Highly recommend if you enjoy the beauty of Moonstone and Cambria. Everything was perfect. Whale and Dolphin watching from the porch can’t be beat. Seriously amazing. Owner/Manager was very responsive before and during the stay. We will be back.

Perfect stay right on the beach

We were a group of 6 adults and we stayed here for 3 nights. The house is located right on Moonstone Beach and has beautiful views. It was well stocked in the kitchen and there were plenty of towels. Overall it was a perfect place to stay!

Best location in Cambria

This our second time we stay in this property. We love everything about it: Location, view, amenities, the gentle sound of the waves, the morning view and feel and the sunsets. we love to sit on the balcony with our coffee or meal and just watch. We love to just cross the street to walk on the boardwalk.Very serene and a great place to relax and unwind. See you next year!

Excellent views across the street from the beach!

House was as described with perfect, stunning views of the beach and ocean! There are 14 stairs to get to the main floor with 2 of the 3 bedrooms, kitchen and fabulous views. The home was immaculate. We would stay again for the views alone, but for our group, all of us over 65, the stairs, especially on arrival with luggage, was challenging.

Wonderful location

We really enjoyed this home. The location was beautiful. We had everything that we needed for our stay six adults. The only issue to be aware of is that there is construction occurring next-door. They started between 6:45 and 7:45 each morning. The house is still in the framing stage. So this will be occurring for quite a while.

Never ending enjoyment

This is our go to place to stay in Cambria. We have stayed here several times and there has never been a disappointment. The beach right across the street to the quaint little town that seems to always give us something new every time we come. Always clean and comfortable.

Amazing views in a spacious, clean home

This is our second stay at the house, and we love the proximity to the moonstone beach boardwalk and amazing views of the ocean. Plenty of space and a kitchen large enough to make full meals in. Gorgeous property!

Wonderful Stay

The panoramic view, proximity to the boardwalk and beach made for a great experience. The house was very clean, quite spacious, and well equipped. Comfortable seating in the living room takes advantage of the view. Bring your own personal care items and toiletries. Would love to return.

Vacay in May

This was our first ever to rent a home for vacay with friends. The location just beautiful. The balcony overlooking Moonstone Beach and listening to the waves was peaceful. The home has steps so it's a little hard on our knees but has handrails that provided safety for us older folks. Well equipped kitchen for cooking with friends. Very clean and neat home. Would certainly stay there again.

Disappointed to leave this review

This condo is in a beautiful location with spectacular views right across from the Moonstone Boardwalk, with easy beach access. It is clean, comfortable and well stocked. I’m so sad that I must give a poor review about our experience. Our third morning of 4 days (3 nights) there was a power outage for 4 hours; it was planned for 6 hours by PG and E and customers in the affected area had been notified in mid June. We had a friend nearby who verified this. The owner indicated she had known about it when I spoke with her. A generator on the property did not work and we spent time troubleshooting with her in the phone. Since she was aware we could have been prepared or given the choice to book a different time. Knowing about a coming outage as the nearby residents did presents a different situation as you can make plans. Additionally our check in was delayed 40 minutes as we scrambled trying to deal with the impossible lockbox (which may be replaced, as she mentioned, so she knew it was difficult but there was no special word or help) I kindly explained why this inconvenience merited a partially refund, (my parents are elderly and the lack of internet and power, and the unknown of how long without the communication really interfered with our short special vacation) My two attempts to communicate this were completely ignored. I have now waited a weekend with hopes of a response and apology at least and have receivedThat is what bothers me most. Beware if anything goes wrong.

Horrible Experience

Booked the property for a 2 day stay June 30th thru July 2nd for my husband & myself as well as another couple. I had received confirmation of the booking & house rules & my card was charged. After arriving in Cambria, I realized I hadn’t received directions on how to access the home. I reached out to Tena via the app, voicemail & text with no response. I called VRBO, who was also unable to reach her. Because we were 2.5 hours beyond our check in time, they put us in a hotel for 1 night. Later that evening, Tena reached out saying she doesn’t allow 2 night stays and didn’t have us on her calendar & the home wasn’t clean as renters had just left. So there we were, stuck hours from home & had to find a hotel for the rest of the weekend - on a busy holiday weekend. VRBO and Tena both mentioned we would be refunded - but here we are 4 days later & I still do not have a refund. VRBO says they are investigating & cannot return my money until they speak to Tena. This is because Tena responded to my message on the VRBO app at 7pm on Friday (check in was at 4pm) giving me directions on how to access the home - so VRBO thinks we stayed at the home. Yet shortly after that message, she sent another message asking me to call her immediately - only to tell me she didn’t have me in her books and couldn’t accommodate our two night stay. Therefore, I will now be forced to file a dispute on my credit card for the VRBO charge that should’ve been refunded immediately.

Beautiful Moonstone Beach!

Great location! Beautiful coastline and beaches. Property was great, but be aware there are several stairs. Downstairs area would be perfect for kids, with upstairs for adults. We had 2 couples and only used the bathroom on the bottom floor. Really enjoyed our stay!
