Hi! I’m Becky and live locally and I would love to host you while visiting our area! You will be centrally-located staying in my 3 bed/1 bath townhome that has its own kitchen, dining area, living area, entry, WiFi, with parking! I also have a shared back patio with fire pit and grill, you will be Less than a mile from Swede town ski/bike trails, 15 miles north of MTU, 24 miles to Mount Bohemia, 31 miles to Copper Harbor. Close to snowmobile trails. (Larger parties can look to reserve the other side of my townhome also, called The Yellow Door Place)

If I had to describe the place in a a word, it would be underwhelming. The bare minimum amenities were provided. From the single ply.toilet.paper to the pots and pans bought at Goodwill, it was just not welcoming at all. It was warm and dry in a bad storm though, so we were glad to have it.
I don't think this has been cleaned, ever.

Worn out and mismatched towels.

Our host was very responsive when booking and when I inquired about amenities shortly after arrival. The beds were comfortable with clean linens in decent sized bedrooms. Layout is a bit funky (washer/dryer in dining area) but worked well for my group of 4 skiers. Keurig coffee maker and pods were a nice touch! Ample parking.Downsides included modest kitchen set up as far as cookware selection (too few size options of pots/pans - mostly small), no dishwasher and no grill (at least in winter months). The oven could also use a thorough cleaning.Would consider again for future visit to the area!

Location was perfect, especially with all the winter weather. We knew 41 would be well maintained. The driveway was cleared as well. We had some tall guys in our group so the low clearance on the stairs along with the one room upstairs was a minor inconvenience. As long as you know that going in, you should be fine. We did find ourselves in need of additional kitchen items but we made due. The place was super clean, we were amused by alllll of the snow out back, and everything we needed was right nearby- including my son at MTU. We’d borrowed a large pan from his place and it was mistakenly left at the house. When I reached out to Rebecca about it, she got back to me almost immediately, and she was SO accommodating that she even delivered the pan back to my son. I was so relieved and even more impressed. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

This property is close to Calumet and Houghton/Hancock. It was very comfortable and clean. It is on US 41 but we did not hear any traffic or have trouble with noise. The property owner was very responsive to messages and when she learned we were arriving late, she asked the individual who cleans the property to go turn on the porch lights for us. There are AC units in the three bedrooms upstairs for warm nights. I highly recommend this property!!Fully stocked kitchen with coffee maker. Washer and dryer on property. Comfortable living area with a tv.

Wonderful location for adventuring in the Keweenaw! Stayed here with a few friends while visiting my son at MTU. Worked perfectly for us. Wonderful communication, clean and comfortable!Basic amenities were provided, we brought our own toiletries/soaps. We missed having a few washcloths for freshening up after hikes but made due without. We did not eat main meals at the house so I cannot speak about the kitchen supplies but it had everything we needed for quick breakfasts before heading outdoors.

Great space for our family

It snowed a ton while we were there and they did a good job of keeping the snow plowed. The place was clean. The three bedrooms worked great for our family. Coffee bar was well stocked with keurig pods.

Really enjoyed this place! Confident! Good jump off for the rest of the keenaw peninsula and convent back to MTU! Only thing that didn’t work out was my vehicle ! Had trouble with the hills! Can’t wait to come up again!

Nice visit to the Keweenaw

This rental is centrally located on the Keweenaw, which allowed easy access to various activities on the peninsula. If you're planning to cook, would recommend bringing your own tools, as the kitchen is pretty bare bones. The unit was very clean and beds were comfortable.

We enjoyed staying in this home. Don’t let the exterior make you pass this up! It was very clean and had everything we needed. The location was great for either doing things in Houghton or CopperHarbor. It’s a duplex but we never heard the family next door.

Nice Little Place

We enjoyed our time at Becky's cabin. It was well kept & clean. We didn't expect the steep steps or smaller doors, but it added character and made the cabin more quaint. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Becky!

Clean & budget-friendly, but



 set your expectations accordingly. The housekeeper for this property deserves a raise, but the property itself is not well kept nor does it offer many amenities. It is steps from the highway, so noise can be a problem. The long weekend we visited was unusually warm with highs in the upper 80s to near 90, but the property was listed as having air conditioning. What that meant in reality were window AC units in two of the three bedrooms, one of which was so loud it could not be run at night when trying to sleep. Further, only two windows in the living area had screens, so most of the downstairs had to remain closed up and stuffy. There is no dishwasher (again, budget-friendly), but we had to message the property owner about providing sponges to even wash the dishes. Also, there were no glasses in the cabinet - only small plastic cups that held no more than 4 or 6 ounces. No icemaker in the refrigerator (budget-friendly!), but only one measly ice cube tray was in the freezer and it was empty upon our arrival. The duplex is just very bare with no charm, no table lamps in any room - just harsh, overhead fluorescent lighting. Kitchen is not well stocked (fry pans that are provided are worn and food stained) and we also had to ask the property owner for tissues. Overall, I would not recommend a stay at this property. It’s basically a roof over your head, but it was very clean and the property did respond quickly to our messages and at least dropped off dishwashing supplies.
