Escape to The Shippen, a delightful single-level retreat near Callington in Cornwall. Set amid rolling countryside, it offers peace, comfort, and the ideal base for exploring moorland walks, coastal adventures, and scenic country lanes.. All on the Ground Floor:

Bathroom: Bath With Shower Over, Toilet. Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Patio with garden furniture. Grounds with sitting-out area and garden furniture (shared with other properties on-site). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a large unfenced pond within the grounds. This property has a natural water supply via borehole.. The Shippen is a beautifully presented, single-level stone-built holiday cottage offering comfort and charm in equal measure. With plenty of parking available, guests enter into a light and airy open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area. Thoughtfully designed, this sociable space features a smart TV and a fully equipped kitchen, ideal for relaxed evenings and leisurely meals. The cottage comfortably sleeps three with one inviting double bedroom and a cosy single room, making it perfect for couples, small families, or friends. The bathroom includes a shower over the bath, providing practicality and relaxation after a day of exploring.
Step outside to your own private seating area, a perfect spot for al fresco dining or simply unwinding with a morning coffee while soaking in the peaceful countryside surroundings. Guests also have access to the large, beautifully maintained shared gardens, which include a stunning, expansive pond. Here, you can sit back and enjoy the tranquillity, watch the wildlife, or feed the friendly ducks.
Tucked away in the peaceful countryside near Callington, The Shippen at Pitt Barn Cottages provides a wonderful retreat and an ideal starting point for discovering the many treasures of southeast Cornwall. Within easy reach by car are the picturesque beaches of Seaton, Portwrinkle, and Millendreathâperfect for a relaxing day by the sea, scenic coastal strolls, or a family picnic on the sand. Nearby village pubs offer a warm welcome, serving up traditional fare made with fresh, local ingredients and a generous helping of Cornish hospitality.
