It was perfect for travelling with young kids, everyone got their own room. Easy to get to and not off the beaten path.

Communication is a 2 - add says pet friendly but when asked for confirmation of pets we had zero response months out so I personally stayed home so my husband and family could attend a birthday celebration in Calgary. The day prior we still had no communication and had to ask for the address and check in code, didn’t receive the wifi so after a long day of driving when my husband arrived I contacted host and didn’t get a response until the next day. Then a contractor showed up to do work in the basement with zero heads up and on Monday morning prior to checkout the owner mowed the grass. All in all very little communication or respect for the peace and privacy you expect when booking a whole house.

Disappointing Stay – Would Not RecommendWe were quite disappointed with our stay at this property in Airdrie. When we arrived, there was an old car in the driveway and the front porch looked worn and smelled strongly of cat urine. Upon entering, it felt as though we had walked into someone’s home while they were out — though after a quick walk-through, we realized it was vacant and decided to stay.The master ensuite toilet didn’t flush, and it was clear this issue was known, as there was a watering can left in the bathroom to refill the tank manually. The second bathroom had no hand towels (we ended up taking one from a bedroom), and the ice in the freezer looked so old it was nearly dust.The biggest surprise was discovering that there were tenants living in the basement — something not disclosed in the listing. The noise from below, including doors slamming and loud conversations, went on until about 2 a.m., making it hard to sleep.Overall, this property offered the bare minimum and lacked care or attention to detail. It was inexpensive, but the absence of a cleaning fee should have been a red flag that it wasn’t professionally maintained. We would not stay here again or recommend it to others.

Needs work

This place needs some work. There were not enough dishes, nothing really matched hardly any glassware, like we were drinking fromm mini glass The bathroom window in the main bedroom rattled all night . Not enough towels and the towels we had were hard and small.not enough pillowsNo papertowel or kleenex, 2nd bedroom door would not stay closed and randomlly opened. Not enough cooking dishes. Kitchen light burned out . Ad showed Keurig pods instead we had a 5 cup coffee maker for 6 people.There were 2 pairs of slippers left out, assuming the ow ners and no cable just google tv. There was no communication with the owner as to check out process or what we we do with used laundry etc dishwasher etc I had to call him twice as well before arriving as he never returned my messages

Mixed Feelings

We did not expect perfection. We could tell it was an "older" home. But upon arrival the front steps are lovely in width and depth, wooden, and paint peeling, needed serious refinishing. The pinpad on the door wouldn't work, and the landlord did get back to me quickly with a master pin which worked as long as you pulled the door towards you when used. The inside smelled of cleaners when entered and we went to open windows, every one in the house was streaked and had a gray "wiped" film. One had no handle to open it and another opened and then couldn't shut it as the handle disconnected, so pushed it shut from outside and used the lock.Nice backyard but fence had a gaping hole in it which we stuck some boards in.Opened first cupboard and part of the door with handle fell off. Stove, fridge and dishwasher worked well. All of the silverware and most of the dishes needed washing before use, The silverware tray was dirty. Moldings weren't finished which wasn't a problem except one that was loose on wall of stairs and we would catch our sleeves. Lovely bay window above kitchen sink and everything was dirty.No instructions as to what should be done when leaving so made the bed, emptied garbages and recycle bin and all towels used put in laundry baskets. Swept floors. Everything was closed and locked.Served our purpose and wasn't over-expensive, good location for us but was quite disappointed that we paid for a place that needed to be cleaned, didn't do windows.
