The Space:

A welcoming front porch sets the tone for slow mornings and quiet afternoons, with both stair and ramp access creating an easy arrival experience. Inside, the warm and inviting interiors are styled with soft tones and comfortable furnishings, offering a calm retreat after days spent exploring the coastline.



The living area flows naturally into the dining space, creating an easy setting for relaxed evenings or casual meals at home. Air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout keep the cottage comfortable year-round, while the lounge and bedroom TVs make it easy to settle in with your favourite shows. Nearby, the fully equipped kitchen includes a Nespresso coffee machine, air fryer, microwave, and everything needed for simple holiday cooking. A dedicated workstation provides a quiet space for remote work, whether catching up on emails or planning the day ahead.



The bedroom features a queen bed dressed for restful nights, while the bathroom includes accessibility handrails and a spacious shower designed for ease and comfort. Outside, the covered verandah overlooks the mountains and captures peaceful sunset views, while the Weber BBQ and outdoor seating invite long alfresco dinners or a quiet morning coffee surrounded by greenery. The fully fenced backyard offers added privacy and a secure space for guests travelling with a small dog. Please note dogs must be under 15kg.



Laundry facilities with a washer, dryer, and undercover clothesline add extra convenience for longer stays, along with complimentary WiFi and free garage parking throughout your stay.



Guest Access:

During your stay, you will have the entire cottage to yourselves. Please make yourselves at home!



The Neighborhood:

Positioned between the rainforest and the coastline, this peaceful pocket offers easy access to some of Cairns’ most relaxed northern beaches. Trinity Beach and Kewarra Beach are both less than a five-minute drive away, ideal for morning walks, beachfront cafés, and casual dining overlooking the water. Nearby local favourites include Trinity Beach Tavern, Bluewater Bar & Grill, and a selection of coffee spots and takeaway options within a short drive. Smithfield Shopping Centre is around ten minutes away for groceries and essentials, while Cairns CBD can be reached in approximately 25 minutes by car. Nature lovers can also explore nearby walking trails, scenic lookouts, and day trips towards Palm Cove and the Daintree region.



Getting Around:

Parking: Garage parking is available for one car.



Airport: Cairns Airport is 20 minutes away by car.

Please read and respect the house rules. This is very much appreciated, thank you! Before your arrival, we will also share a house guide that contains instructions on how to access the property, use certain appliances, and anything else you may need to know.



Pets

As this is a small home with small back yard, we ask that dogs are LESS THAN 15kg and that you don't intend leaving your dog unattended for long periods of time.



Accessibility

This cottage does have a ramp access for those with mobility issues. It is important to note that the front door is not wide enough for wheelchair access, however walking aides would be ok at this property.

There are support rails next to the toilet and shower. The floor is flat throughout the cottage and out onto the outdoor verandah.



Amenities

We provide a generous amount of amenities as a "start up" for your stay. These include, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, dishwasher & laundry sheets, toilet paper, tissues, salt/pepper, cooking oil, tea, coffee & sugar. If your stay is longer than a few days, you will need to top up to suit your needs.



Linen/Towels

Our linen is hotel quality and professional cleaned. Each guest is provided 1 bath towel and 1 pool towel. Additionally we have bath mats, hand towels, and face washers. Please be sure to register the correct number of guests to ensure our linen provision suits your needs.



Bag Storage

Bag storage before or after your stay is available at Stasher Luggage (next to The Jack Hotel) 52 Spence Str, Cairns.
