Ce lakehouse est situĂ© sur un cul-de-sac paisible et se trouve en face du lac Barkley Marina et le lac Barkley Lodge. L'embouchure de la riviĂšre Little est Ă  proximitĂ© fournit de l'eau toute l'annĂ©e pour le quai privĂ© et une rampe de lancement du public est Ă  quelques minutes. Cette belle maison est situĂ©e dans une crique tranquille qui est parfait pour la pĂȘche, des tubes, le ski, le canoĂ«-kayak et toute autre activitĂ© sur le lac vous pouvez rĂȘver. The property was very nice and we enjoyed staying there. We loved the lake views and firepit. The only thing that we had trouble with was the kayak ramp. One of the attachments to the dock was severed, and without railings, we were uncertain whether we could get the kayak back on deck after taking it out.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Gray Dog Cottage. The house was clean and well supplied with comfortable beds and pillows. The spacious deck gave us a beautiful view of the lake, and we had a great time kayaking off of the private backyard dock into Lake Barkley. The house is conveniently located for site seeing and other activities in the Land Between the Lakes area also. The owner left us several helpful suggestions for things to do during our stay. The cookie jar was full of fresh cookies on our arrival and they were delicious! We had a plumbing problem due to some work the water company did on the water lines during our stay, which caused the shower to stop running. The owners answered my call right away and were at the house to fix it within 45 min and had it working perfectly in about 30 min. We were very impressed with their prompt response. I would definitely highly recommend this house to anyone who does not have significant mobility limitations. The shower area is too small for someone who has need for a chair or much assistance, and as is often the case with lakefront property, there is a steep grade down to the lake, but I think this is pretty obvious from the photos.

Spent 2 days at the Gray Dog Cottage! Fishing off the dock was really good! Lots of bluegill, crappie, baby bass, and a few catfish. Quiet area and in a cove so not alot of water traffic. Our kids enjoyed swimming at the dock and kayaking.Lots of great outdoor space for entertainment and to hang out. Beds were comfy and house was equipped with everything we needed. Very cleanA well taken care of older home and loved the 90s vibe of the place! Already planning to come back in the summer for an extended stay! Loved the location and vibe of the place!We definitely want to come back!

What a wonderful lake house! Upon our arrival, Carolyn had some delicious cookies set aside to greet us, a binder full of useful information including restaurants and area things to do, and a printed sheet with local daily activities. The bedrooms were all individually unique, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked which was appreciated as I cooked several meals during our stay. Carolyn was easy to communicate with. We didn’t have any problems during our stay, but I know we would have had a quick response if anything came up.

Gorgeous lake view and a peaceful atmosphere. The house was beautifully decorated and so inviting. We loved relaxing on the dock and enjoying late-night fires overlooking the lake. We truly loved our stay.

Stay at riverfront house

First off I want to say overall the house was great. It was cozy with great decor and furniture. There is enough furniture for 10 people to stay in the house. It has a great riverfront view, only obscured by a few trees. The owner was super friendly and helpful. However, there are a few issues with the house we want to make potential renters aware of. First, the only bathroom is tiny. Only one person at a time could use it, though there is a door to separate the toilet. The shower is just a "cozy" stall. Second, the house must have been built for shorter people. The current owner did not build the house. The shower head is only about 5'7" high and all the mirrors in the house were 6 inches to low. We are tall (6') and larger. Third, apparently at certain times of the year, large branches and tree trucks wash ashore. There must have been literally 100s of branches and whole trees littering the shoreline of all houses, not just this one. This is not the owners fault, but be aware, it can hamper ability to jump in the river to swim. Finally, the house has a long, downward sloping driveway with no easy way to turn around that can be tricky to back out, especially at night (backup camera is VERY helpful).

Great lakefront property

Great lakefront property with private dock and boat lift! Boat launch is 3 minutes away and worked perfect for our 17’ bass tracker. Watched bald eagles from the deck. Will stay again in the future.

Cosy lakefront stay

Carolyn was a wonderful host. We entered the home with soft music playing and cookies for snacking. She was available for any questions. The home is on the lake with beautiful views and the home itself is very cosy.

Enjoy the lake

Beautiful scenery in a lovely location. Perfect for lounging with a good book or breakfast on the deck! Indoors would benefit from updating in the kitchen and bathroom especially. We really enjoyed the great room, and the kitchen had plenty of dishes, etc. If you’re looking for a good place to enjoy the lake, though, this is great! The host was super to communicate with and supplied loads of towels. She even baked fresh cookies to welcome us! - they were excellent!

Beautiful home and great location on the lake and within driving distance of everything. Wide open concept kitchen living room and dining room with beautiful views of the lake. Definitely stay here again! Great communication with the owners and fantastic white chocolate chip cookies!

View from the Deck is the best!

This is a nice house right on the water of Lake Barkley. There is a private dock that the kids played on the whole time. Swimming, fishing, kayaking(we had our own). The house is on an open cove so there is some boat traffic but most of it is across the inlet. There is a very quiet cove just around the corner that the kids loved kayaking and fishing in. There is a nice ladder on the dock for swimming. The kids practiced on a stand up paddle board and flipping over and re-entering kayaks in safety. The water area and the view from the deck are the best features and worth checking out. The cabin is nicely appointed we even broke out the included ice cream maker and had the kids enjoy that! If you bring a family, we recommend bringing some plastic cups and paper plates. All the options in the kitchen were glass and I was a nervous wreck with the kids using them. Communication was excellent from the owner. We definitely recommend.

Just what we were looking for

Quiet, private, comfortable outdoor space. Homey, well-supplied indoor space with great views. Highlight of the stay was a bald eagle landing in a tree 20 yards from where I sat on the deck!
