Casa Lilliana — our beautiful five-bedroom home in Flamingo’s North Ridge that sleeps 10 — has been recently renovated with the addition of a studio apartment with a bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Now, when rented with the guesthouse addition, this property can comfortably sleep 12 guests!



The Space:

The new upstairs guesthouse has a well-lit, minimalist design with clean white walls, hardwood floors, stylish furniture, and plenty of windows to invite natural light inside. The studio has a king-sized bed, which overlooks a paneled glass door leading to a lovely balcony with a stunning ocean view. The guesthouse also has a clean, modern bathroom with a walk-in shower and a kitchenette with a full-sized refrigerator, cooktop, sink, microwave, blender, and coffee maker.



From the roof of the studio apartment, guests can also enjoy a shaded deck with spectacular views of Playa Flamingo. This terrace has beanbag chairs, a wet bar, and bohemian-style decor, including a stylish tile statement wall and a rattan light fixture. All guests of Casa Lilliana are welcome to use this deck, even without booking the additional guest suite.



In addition to the guesthouse, Casa Lilliana has a gorgeous outdoor space shared with the main house. It features a private swimming pool and hot tub, a pool deck with lounge chairs, a beautiful sundeck with a firepit, and a shaded patio with an outdoor dining table and BBQ grill.



The main house offers five bedrooms, each with a king or queen bed, a stylish living room, and a spacious chef’s kitchen with a dining table, breakfast bar, and high-end stainless steel appliances. The entire property — the renovated main house, brand-new studio apartment, and stunning outdoor oasis — is the perfect place to stay for your next group vacation to Costa Rica!



Pet-friendly policy



We welcome your furry friends at our property! Before you book, each pet must be verified and approved based on breed and size (max 35 lbs.), accompanied by a recent photo. A refundable pet fee of $200 per stay, along with an additional cleaning fee of $50 + 13% per pet, is required to ensure our home remains pristine for all guests. We allow up to two pets per reservation. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times in public areas within the property grounds. Certain properties and complexes may have specific rules and registration requirements. Pets need to be verified at least 24 hours prior to check-in. If guests arrive at check-in with unverified pets, access to the property will be denied.

Owners are responsible for their pets' behavior and any damages incurred. Pets should not be left unattended within the property. For any questions or further details about our pet policy, feel free to contact us!

The Neighborhood:

Flamingo is a high-end beachfront community notable for its dazzling ocean views and the beautiful, hilly peninsula that juts out into the Pacific, separating Playa Potrero from Playa Flamingo.

Flamingo is home to a wide array of stunning homes and vacation rentals, as well as humbler lodging options, and it has restaurants, grocery stores, banks and other conveniences.

A brand-new, state-of-the-art marina opened to the public in 2022, with slips for yachts and fishing boats, condos for rent and all kinds of shops and restaurants. Other major developments here include the 360 Splendor del Pacifico luxury condominiums on top of the North Ridge, the Margaritaville Beach Resort, and the upscale Mar Vista housing development, where there’s an excellent private school called La Paz.

Good restaurants in town include the Coco Loco, a beachfront eatery known for its coconut drinks and standout cuisine; Marie’s, a reliable standard with a long and enticing menu; Angelina’s, featuring fine Italian dining in an elegant environment; and several options at the Margaritaville, including the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill.

Flamingo was largely developed by foreigners, and it lacks the traditional Costa Rican downtown with a soccer field plaza, church and school. The heart of town is an upscale commercial plaza with stone steps, fountains, restaurants and shops. Farther away on the road to Brasilito, you’ll find smaller restaurants, hotels, banks, hardware stores and the Super Massai grocery store.

Flamingo is more or less the centerpiece of a beautiful coastline stretching from the Reserva Conchal resort in the south to the Las Catalinas resort in the north, with the more traditional Costa Rican towns of Brasilito and Potrero in between. Flamingo is within easy striking distance of several beaches, including Conchal, Flamingo, Potrero, Penca, Prieta, Pan de Azucar and Danta.



Getting Around:

Our agents will be happy to assist you with renting a car, giving you the freedom to explore the area where you want, when you want. For short drives to nearby towns or beaches, golf carts are another popular mode of transportation. You can also rent a bicycle to ride around in town or beyond.



We can arrange transfers to and from the airport. Rental cars can also be delivered to your property at no additional cost, allowing you to relax and enjoy the scenery as our private van drives you here from the airport.



Taxis are available but can be a bit hard to find. Many locals use buses to get around, though there are a limited number of routes and times of day when you can catch them. Private shuttles can be a great option for traveling to nearby destinations, and many tour companies offer transportation to and from the tour. Incredible views and location.

The property was very clean and there were zero maintenance issues. The views over looking playa flamingo were incredible. In the morning you can sit on the upper balcony and listen and watch the waves while you have your coffee. The two seperate buildings were perfect for us. We had a group of 10 adults in their 20's in the main house celebrating their college graduations and we stayed in the seperate apartment which is a little higher on the hill, very private and with incredible views. The management company , Special Places of Costa Rica was incredible. Allen from Special Places helped us with everything we needed and gave us all the information we needed to have a great vacation.

Our overall impression of CASA LILLIANA was positive! We enjoyed that every bedroom had a private entrance along with an on suite bathroom with the exception of one having a 1/2 bath. The private upstairs apartment is spectacular! A few minor issues were addressed promptly however could have been discussed prior to arrival. For example, the hot water in the bathrooms took quite a while to flow hot properly as the faucet handle was not accurate. The street that the home is on comes with a security person which was helpful! Parking is an issue which could be mitigated with removal of the over grown bushes on both sides of the driveway. Having said that, the drive way needs improved lighting as it was very very difficult to see and maneuver the stairs that lead to the front door. All outdoor furniture needs to be updated or thoroughly cleaned/refinished. Concierge was tremendous! He ensured that golf carts where in the drive upon our arrival and walked through the process of turning on the bubbles for the top of the water slide pool, which unfortunately is not a hot tub. Again, overall the property is. 4/5 rating at this point in time. Thank you

Great property for large groups

We stayed here for 9 nights from 2022 into 2023. If anything, it looks even better in person than it does in the pictures. I wasn’t prepared for how nice it was. Overall, I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again. Here are some things to know. There’s a great view of Playa Flamingo beach, especially from the open space above the apartment. On New Year’s Eve there were tons of fireworks right at midnight and the views were spectacular. You can also see some great sunsets. That being said, it seems like they’re constantly building tall structures and there’s an open lot for sale across the street that could one day obstruct that view. The house is spacious with more outdoor areas than you could possibly use and a good amount of central indoor seating. There is plenty of air conditioning and it all works very well. The thing that looks like a jacuzzi is not heated so it’s just a jacuzzi-shaped pool. There’s a slide from the jacuzzi area to the pool that I must have missed in the photos and it was a nice surprise. One of the bedrooms with a queen has a pull-out couch and that wound up being useful. The housekeepers came and fully cleaned the house for free for us while we were there. This was unexpected but appreciated. Maintenance came at least two or three times to keep up the garden and pool. This was especially useful because the pool would get full of plant leaves and flowers every day and it kept it fairly clean. There was a security guard that literally stood outside of the driveway of the property all night basically during the hours it was dark and checked to make sure that everything was fine. That was also unexpected but appreciated it. Some other issues include that we had some repair issues that were mostly addressed quickly such as a broken dryer (fixed in hours), toilet (fixed in hours), fan (not fixed). They did not supply us with any additional paper products like toilet paper or paper towels, so we had to buy our own. That was surprising for this price point. Some of the long-haired people told me that the water pressure wasn’t enough to wash their hair well. The water also took minutes to heat up and did not get very hot. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again.

House was lacking several working issues that had to be reported instead of checked by management prior to arrival. Not updated and needs a thorough cleaning. Price should have gotten us a better property.

Absolutely Amazing!

Our stay was just perfect! We have stayed in several VRBO properties and this house is definitely at the top of the list. The open floor plan accommodates larger family groups with separated bedrooms which still allows some privacy. The patio and pool area is expansive with covered areas if a little shade is needed as well as barbecue area. Every aspect of this property is meticulously maintained and inviting and the view is breathtaking! We made lifelong memories and hope to come back in the years to come!
