McKinnon on the Bay is located in a quiet area of Shaws Bay, a 500 metrewalk to the beach and Ballina surf club, and a short drive to Ballina central were you will find all your requirements such as retail shopping, cinemas, clubs and activities.

Shaws Bay itself is a great-protected location for swimming, stand up paddle-boarding, snorkelling and wading with the kids. There is a maze of paths to explore around the bay, out the wall, along the beaches and river and into Ballina. If you are into fishing, there are plenty of opportunities for that too.

This home has all you need for a relaxing holiday. Three bedrooms, one full bathroom and a second toilet and shower, kitchen and large outdoor undercover area to enjoy family Bbq's. When it gets too hot, enjoy the air-conditioned family space. We are pet friendly so bring your pooch.

Great accommodation

Fantastic holiday location close to the beach and lagoon. Great walk along the wall. Unit was clean and had pleanty of room everything to make a holiday stress free we had a lovely holiday. Would recommend to anyone looking to holiday in Ballina

Long weekend beach stay

Beautiful location the unit was clean and in a quiet area. So close we could take regular walks along the beach and across the bridge. Thank you the process was easy, great location.

Family holiday

Enjoyed our stay, very family friendly. Would have appreciated a few more washing & dishwashing tablets, and things like bin bags etc. A family of 6 staying for a week 2 of each wasnt much. Would stay again though, great location.

Great unit

We loved our stay here. The area was quiet and safe, only minutes walk to the beach and nearby cafes. The back yard was fully enclosed which was great for our dog. The unit was clean, comfortable, easy to find and no problem using the key lockbox. Neighbours were quiet. Loved the comfy beds, great to have two bathrooms. Fans and aircon were welcome.

Walk to everything

This is a great place to stay for a family, comfortable, spotlessly clean, spacious and a perfect location if you want to just walk out the door and be on the beach. Within a short stroll you have the surf beach, sheltered Shaw’s Bay, coastal walks, playgrounds cafes and fishing spots. There’s a good covered barbeque area, an enclosed backyard. Stock up on supplies in town and you can leave the car parked for your whole stay.

Peaceful long weekend

We stayed at McKinnon by the Bay for a long weekend in February. We found the place to be clean, comfortable and within easy access to everything we needed. The bonus for us was that it is pet friendly. There was 2 off leash dog areas one was a park near the townhouse the other was on the Ballina side of the bridge on the water although we did go to Lennox for a really good off leash beach called 7 mile beach there was surf and sand for our dog to really enjoy. The townhouse was clean and very quiet which was really nice for a relaxing break.

Lovely property, great location.Everything was available although parking was lacking especially for more than one vehicle. No access to the garage.The BBQ had not been cleaned for sometime. It was too greasy and dirty to use.Otherwise a great place to stay, very comfortable, making or stay enjoyable.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à tout point de vue. La location est parfaitement conforme à l'annonce, trÚs bien équipée, située dans un lotissement trÚs calme. Nos hÎtes discrets et trÚs prévenant n'ont pas hésité à nous suggérer quelques circuits. Nous sommes partis avec l'idée de revenir tellement nous étions enchanté de notre séjour.
