Sleeping:

Each bedroom presents its own unique configuration within a contemporary beach aesthetic accented by subtle tribal artistry. Flexible sleeping arrangements across both house and studio ensure Gidgets welcomes every guest with the perfect place to rest.

Bedding configuration (sleeps up to 12, maximum 10 adults):

Main House (sleeps up to 8 adults):

- Bedroom 1: 2 x king single beds (can be made as a king), reverse cycle air conditioning
- Bedroom 2: King bed (can be split into 2 x king single beds), reverse cycle air conditioning, ceiling fan and ensuite bathroom
- Bedroom 3: King bed (cannot be split), reverse cycle air conditioning and ensuite bathroom
- Bedroom 4: King bed (can be split into 2 x king single beds), reverse cycle air conditioning and ceiling fan

Studio (sleeps 2 adults and 2 children, or 3 adults and 1 child):

- Loft bedroom (upstairs): King bed with reverse cycle air conditioning
- Media room (downstairs): Double bunk bed (1 x single bed on top; 1 x double bed on bottom) with reverse cycle air conditioning

Please note, The Studio is designed with an open plan layout and the loft bedroom cannot be closed off by a door. A door is fitted to the media room allowing this space, and the bathroom, to be closed off from the rest of the home. The Studio is best suited to be shared between family members, or guests who are happy sharing connected rooms.

Bathrooms:

All 4 of Gidgets beautifully restored bathrooms enhance the luxury experience of this exceptional beach house and studio. 3 elegant bathrooms—a shared space and 2 ensuites—are located in the Main House, while a pristine bathroom in the Studio includes both shower and bathtub.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gidgets house & studio. We were in Byron for a family wedding. Gidgets house has 3 bathrooms, the 2 main bedrooms have a small ensuite each. Then there is another bigger bathroom as well. We had 3 families staying between the main house & studio. The studio was a perfect size and would easily accommodate a family just staying there. We were very impressed with how clean everything was. The beds are huge & comfy. Plenty of pillows! Plenty of kitchenware etc. Just bring food & clothes. You take a 2 minute walk through the bus exchange & you are on the main street of Byron bay. Woolies, chemist, cafes etc less than 5 mins away. Head straight up the street & you're on main beach in 5mins. Highly recommend staying here.

We loved the location and the size of the property however we found the guest house to be dusty and damp and the TV didn’t work in this part of the property. The spa was absolutely filthy and unusable. Communication was extremely poor and we had requested beds to be separated but when we arrived that hadn’t been done and we had to call for housekeeping to come and separate them for us. We also requested an early check in and late check out and the early check in was declined however a late check out of 12pm was approved but then revoked on the morning of departure at 7.37am and we were told to vacate the property by 10am. We found this very disappointing as we had elderly people with us and had already made plans for the morning and expecting to check out at 12pm.
