A great master once said that a successful vacation begins with a single step...the reservation of Buxton's beautiful oceanside ZEN DEN. This beach house is less than a 2 minute walk from ocean's edge. This location offers some of the best fishing, surfing, & sunning on the island. The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse is nearby and good shopping is within biking distance. The ground level has good parking, 3 carports, park grill, outside shower, and fish table. The first level opens into a great room with tall ceiling, comfy resort furniture, entertainment center with TV/DVD, and wide east and north sun and covered decks. The all equipped kitchen has a breakfast island with seating, nearby dining area, and a screened porch with picnic table for al fresco meals. Bedroom one has a double, TV/DVD, is close to laundry nook and full bath with tub and shower. Bedroom two has a queen and TV/DVD. Upstairs is a huge furnished sundeck with ocean views galore. Bedroom three has a queen and TV/DVD. Bedroom four has a pyramid bed with double below and a single above and TV/DVD. ZEN DEN...get here now!

You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your email. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically.


Please note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in email and during the check-in process. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on weather.

It was interesting at best. This was the area where houses were falling into the ocean due to Erin and a nor'easter. Definitely an different vacation than planned, but still good. The people in Buxton were friendly and helpful.

Nice house and neighborhood. We love the area but the hurricane did cause alot of damage in the area and its sad. We had two feet of water on our street. The beach was unusable. We went to the point for all of our swimming and fishing and its only a 7 minute drive. All of the local businesses and restaurants and nice and friendly. Even with the issues we plan to return next year and hope they get the area cleaned up.

Great location, house was clean and well-appointed, beds were comfortable and it was an easy walk to the beach. We stayed Friday-Monday so it was hard finding a place during peak season that did not require seven day minimum stay. We will be back.

Convenient location, but ,,,

THE GOOD: Convenient location, a short walk to the ocean. The swing on the porch is great. top deck is great to chill out. THE BAD: Dishwasher needs to be updated. We found 2 roaches in the house; one as soon as we enetered on the main family room, half dead. other one behind a bedroom door. I called/messaged Vacasa management with pictures.

Something for Everyone!

This house is great! There is something for everyone. It is a minute walk to the beach, or you can go on the top deck and see the waves OR you can sit in the hammock on the side porch OR cook a lovely meal in the kitchen OR even watch the TV. It allows us to have really nice family time but not be on top of each other like a hotel typically is. Truly enjoyed the location and the stay!

Great Time!

There were some issues when we first arrived at the house but after talking with management, all of our problems were addressed and fixed. This house was the base camp for our outer banks surf fishing trip, It held all 6 of us perfectly. Large parking area under the house for 4 cars. The location is awesome, only a 30 second walk to the beach and is in close proximity to a convenience store as well as a few restaurants. I would not hesitate to book this place again. Thanks again to IG and his team!

A Great Family Getaway

The booking process was seamless. The Property Management company called the day after check–in to confirm that we found everything in good working order. The property is a few houses down from the beach with water views from the porch and the expansive raised patio. Perfect for our family getaway!

Bad washer!!

The house was nice and it had everything we needed there was just one big important appliance not working, the washer. It was working from Saturday to Monday and it stopped working on Tuesday. After 2 calls, voicemails and online repair request, they did not get it fixed u till Friday afternoon, one day before we would be leaving.

Beautiful, easy, relaxing

This was our favorite vacation yet! The property manager made the check-in/out process not only painless but enjoyable, and responses to questions or issues was prompt and friendly. What a wonderful and relaxing place to bring your family. There is something here for everyone, except the hustle and bustle of commercial vacationing - which is what we loved the most. We will definitely be back next year!
