Eagles Nest Lodge
Eagles Nest Lodge – Spacious Turtle Flambeau Flowage Retreat
Escape to Wisconsin’s Northwoods at Eagles Nest Lodge, a spacious waterfront retreat on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage near Mercer, Wisconsin. Surrounded by trees and tucked away from neighboring properties, this lodge offers the privacy and peaceful setting people come to the Northwoods for, while providing plenty of room for families, groups, anglers, ATV/UTV riders, and snowmobilers.
With accommodations for up to 10 guests, five bedrooms, multiple living areas, three bathrooms, private lake frontage, and your own dock, Eagles Nest Lodge is built for groups that want to spend their vacation together without feeling crowded.
The Lodge
Eagles Nest Lodge offers plenty of space to spread out over multiple levels. The home includes five bedrooms, two living areas, two full kitchens, and multiple gathering spaces where your group can relax and spend time together.
One of the lodge's standout features is its two fireplaces—one in each living area. Whether you're settling in after a day on the lake or warming up after a winter ride, both living spaces offer a comfortable place to gather around the fire.
The main living room offers comfortable seating, a TV, ceiling fan, fireplace, and plenty of room for everyone to spend time together. A second living area downstairs includes its own fireplace and provides another place to relax, making the lodge especially convenient for larger groups or multiple families traveling together.
The main dining area and kitchen are located on the ground level, while the second full kitchen downstairs gives larger groups additional space for preparing meals, storing food, and keeping everyone fed without crowding one kitchen.
Sleeping Accommodations
With five bedrooms, Eagles Nest Lodge can accommodate groups of up to 10 guests.
The sleeping arrangements include a mix of king and queen beds along with bunk-style accommodations, giving families and groups flexibility when deciding where everyone will sleep. The bedrooms are spread across the different levels of the lodge, providing some separation and privacy within larger groups.
There are three bathrooms located throughout the lodge, including bathrooms on the ground, upper, and lower levels.
Private Turtle Flambeau Flowage Waterfront
One of the biggest reasons to stay at Eagles Nest Lodge is its private frontage on the Turtle Flambeau Flowage.
Guests have access to a large private dock, with water depth greater than four feet at the end of the dock. The property provides room for multiple boats, making it an excellent home base for anglers or groups bringing boats to explore the Flowage. Electricity is also available near the dock.
Swimming is available from the shore, with a combination of sand and gravel lake bottom near the dock. Whether you're heading out fishing first thing in the morning, taking an afternoon swim, or simply sitting near the water enjoying the view, the waterfront is a major part of the Eagles Nest Lodge experience.
A rowboat and life jackets are also provided for guest use.
Outdoor Living
The lodge is surrounded by the wooded Northwoods landscape and offers several places to enjoy the outdoors.
Gather around the firepit located between the cabin and the lake, relax outside with views of the water, or spend time in the screened porch overlooking the lake. The property also features outdoor furniture, a private beach area, and private lakefront.
Both gas and charcoal grills are available, along with BBQ utensils, so cooking outside is easy when you'd rather spend the evening by the lake than in the kitchen.
Fishing & Boating
The Turtle Flambeau Flowage is one of northern Wisconsin’s signature destinations for fishing, boating, and exploring the Northwoods by water, and Eagles Nest Lodge puts you directly on it.
Bring your own boat and keep it at the private dock during your stay. The property provides parking for three or more trailers and approximately six vehicle parking spaces, making it well suited for groups traveling with boats, ATVs, UTVs, or snowmobiles.
The dock is installed seasonally, before fishing opener, and removed in October.
ATV/UTV & Snowmobile Friendly
Eagles Nest Lodge isn't just a summer destination. ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles are welcome, with trail access available directly from the property. That makes the lodge a convenient base camp for exploring the Mercer area's extensive trail system without having to trailer your machines every time you want to ride.
Amenities
Eagles Nest Lodge is equipped for an easy Northwoods vacation. Amenities include Wi-Fi, Smart TV and cable TV, washer and dryer, provided bed linens, gas and charcoal grills, BBQ utensils, refrigerator and freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and more. Both drip-style and Keurig coffee options are available.
The property also provides a Pack & Play/crib for families traveling with younger children.
Pet Friendly
Don't leave the dog behind. Eagles Nest Lodge is dog friendly, allowing up to two dogs. Guests bringing pets are asked to follow the property's pet rules and clean up after their animals.
A True Northwoods Getaway
Eagles Nest Lodge is located in a quiet, secluded setting surrounded by trees with few neighboring properties, giving your group room to relax and enjoy the Northwoods without feeling like you're staying in a crowded resort.
Spend your mornings fishing the Turtle Flambeau Flowage, afternoons boating or swimming, and evenings grilling dinner and gathering around the firepit. During the cooler months, head directly out for a day of ATV/UTV or snowmobile riding before returning to the lodge and warming up around one of the two fireplaces.
With room for up to 10 guests, private waterfront, a seasonal dock, five bedrooms, two living areas with fireplaces, two kitchens, ample parking and trailer space, and direct access to some of the best outdoor recreation northern Wisconsin has to offer, Eagles Nest Lodge is an ideal home base for your next Mercer getaway.
