Woodley House is one of our favourite properties and is a charming and spacious four-bedroom townhouse nestled in the picturesque village of Stratton. In a perfect location 5 minutes from the beach, beautiful walks and is on the door step of two village pubs and a corner shop. Ideal for families, couples and friends, Woodley House comfortably accommodates 8-10 guests, making it the perfect getaway for a memorable holiday.

The Space

Woodley House combines historic charm with modern comforts. Spread across three floors, this townhouse offers:

Four Bedrooms: Each room is tastefully decorated with coastal-inspired decor. The Master bedroom has a kingsize bed which can be split into two singles, there is a twin room, a bunk bed room and a double room sleeping 8 in total. The beds are dressed in high-quality linens to ensure a restful night`s sleep.

Living Areas: Relax in the cosy living room with plush seating, a flat-screen TV, and a selection of books and games for your entertainment. With a beautiful feature fireplace too this is the perfect spot to snuggle up at the end of the day.

Kitchen & Dining: The fully-equipped kitchen boasts modern appliances, perfect for preparing delicious meals. Complete with a large farmhouse dining table and cosy fireplace this is the perfect spot for entertaining. We provide tea, coffee and sugar and cooking essentials; olive oil, salt and pepper.

Bathrooms: The house includes two well-appointed bathrooms with towels and essential toiletries provided.

Utility / Bootroom
This is a multi-use space! Complete with washer dyer and a sink area and is a perfect space for you furry friends to sleep and stay when you pop out.

Work area
We have also create a dedicated quiet space for working should you need it.

Quaint Garden: Step outside to discover a charming garden. With a cosy courtyard with a sofa, an ideal spot for morning coffee or evening relaxation. Then step up into the split level garden to enjoy a dining area and BBQ. The garden is safe and enclosed but does have steps so please mind your little ones!

Stratton is slightly inland from Bude but only a 5 minute drive or a very beautiful 20 minute walk to Bude and Beaches. Stratton has a well stocked village shop offering freshly baked bread, local milk and cheeses and refillable store cupboard groceries. You also have two pubs opposite the house both serving fresh local food. This is the perfect base for exploring the area and all the activities available. Nearest supermarkets are based in Bude.

Bude Beach: Just a short drive away, Bude offers stunning sandy beaches perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and surfing.

South West Coast Path: Explore the breathtaking coastal scenery with invigorating walks along this famous trail.

Bude Sea Pool: An iconic tidal swimming pool nestled in the rocks at Summerleaze Beach, offering a unique and safe swimming experience.

You will have use of the entire property including a secluded garden and outside seating area.

This is property is self check however I will be on hand to answer any questions that you have. Please note the check in times as there may not be any one to assist you checking in after these hours if you are unable to find the property or have any other problems.

Readily available to answer any questions about your stay via messages including information about the area. You will be provided with a detailed guest book too.

A mobile contact number will be provided in case of emergencies but other that that you will be left to enjoy your holiday!

The cottage is just a few steps from the village post office, shop and an excellent hair salon. Just beyond that are the two village pubs, The Tree Inn and The Kings Arms.

Woodley Hosue is the perfect coastal holiday choice close to the Victorian seaside town of Bude with its glorious sandy beaches and breath-taking South West coastal path scenery. It is the ideal escape venue in which to spend time with friends and family.
Bude is incredibly popular all year round, with its castle heritage centre, a vibrant town centre and an array of restaurants and bars, together with two sandy beaches and the nearby coastal path. It retains its Victorian charm whilst offering something for everyone. The food scene around Stratton and Bude has really taken off. There are regular food markets and artisan pop-ups in addition to the array of restaurants, bakeries and wine merchants.

The Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club is close by. Paddle boarding, surfing, golf, tennis, horse riding and fishing are all on offer in the area. The internationally acclaimed annual jazz festival is fantastic and not to be missed. The Splash leisure centre, with an indoor swimming pool and ten-pin bowling alley, is a short drive away.

Widemouth Bay is only 3 miles further down the coast and has a stunning beach. The picturesque fishing villages of Rock and Padstow are within easy driving distance, as is the mysterious Tintagel Castle of Arthurian legend. The wild beauty of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor are all easily reached, as is the famous Eden Project. For family fun, the Big Sheep and Milky Way adventure parks are not to be missed.

The Camel Trail can be accessed in nearby Wadebridge, where bikes can be hired to cycle to Padstow. Nearest beach is under 2 miles. Shop and post office 20 yards, pub and restaurant are 50 yards from Woodley House

There is a small BBQ in the garden however you will need to provide your own charcoal or we can provide for a small fee.

Welcome Pack
We can arrange for welcome pack to be there upon arrival which includes local milk, bread, butter, filter coffee and biscuits. This is charged at £10.

No smoking anywhere in the house, please.

No parties or events are to be hosted in the property

Noise
This property is terraced so please be respectful of your neighbours. We do not permit parties or loud noise. Please keep the noise to a minimum between 11PM and 8AM. We have fitted noise decibel monitors at the property so we will be alerted if these rules are broken.

Dogs
Two well behaved dogs are allowed but we ask that they be kept off the furniture and are not permitted in the bedrooms. Please ensure you pick up dog mess and dispose! There is a downstairs boot room which is perfect dogs so if you do leave the dogs at the house please ensure they are kept in there and that they are not left for long periods of time, we know anxious dogs can chew and bark.
