Wild Orchid is a newly built luxury 3BR/2.5BA two-level home that sleeps 8 comfortably, featuring expansive upper and lower decks with stunning views of Fontana Lake. Located in the gated Fontana Lake Estates with marina access and 24/7 security. Enjoy a theater room with 85" TV, hot tub, fire pit, BBQ grill, game room (billiards, foosball, poker), gas fireplace, and gourmet kitchen. Easy parking and just 20 minutes to Bryson City!
The Space:
This two-story home is thoughtfully designed for both comfort and entertainment.
Main Level:
The upper floor features the primary suite with a private bath, an open-concept living and kitchen area, and a laundry room with washer and dryer. Step directly onto the spacious deck, complete with Adirondack chairs, a propane BBQ grill, and a picnic table â perfect for outdoor dining and relaxing in the fresh mountain air.
The primary bathroom offers a spa-inspired retreat with a deep soaking tub and beautifully tiled shower. Surrounded by windows that frame the peaceful forest, itâs an ideal place to unwind after a day of hiking or exploring.
Lower Level:
Downstairs, youâll find a professionally designed home theater, along with a game room featuring billiards, foosball, and a custom walnut poker table. Thereâs also a bunk room with four comfortable XL twin beds, a shared full bathroom with a bathtub, and an additional king bedroom with closet space.
Inside, the home offers a bright, welcoming layout created for relaxation and connection. With three bedrooms and generous gathering spaces, thereâs plenty of room for everyone to spread out and recharge.
Large windows fill the home with natural light while showcasing beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Whether youâre waking up to glimpses of Fontana Lake or enjoying a cozy evening by the fireplace, this home provides the perfect setting for lasting memories.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the home and all outdoor living areas. For safety reasons, we kindly ask that you do not explore the wooded areas surrounding the property, as some sections are steep and potentially hazardous.
If youâre looking to hike, Fontana Lake Estates offers a variety of community trails, along with access to a marina and a pavilion area featuring grills and horseshoe pits for guest enjoyment.
The Neighborhood:
We encourage you to explore Fontana Lake Estates online to learn more about the community amenities, including scenic hiking trails and marina access.
If you're craving adventure, Bryson City has plenty to offer. Spend your days hiking or biking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, or experience the thrill of whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River. With Fontana Lake nearby, you can also enjoy kayaking, fishing, and boating.
After a full day outdoors, unwind by exploring Bryson Cityâs local dining scene. From cozy cafĂ©s to inviting restaurants and fresh farm-to-table options, thereâs something to satisfy every appetite.
Getting Around:
A vehicle is required to access the property, and we strongly recommend 4WD from November through April in the event of snow. The drive to the home is fully paved except for the gravel driveway, which is easily manageable with a 2WD vehicle. There is only one steeper section â approximately the last 300 feet on Appalachian Way just before turning left onto Wild Orchid.
Other Things to Note:
Please note that Fontana Lake Estates does not offer boat rentals; however, boats can be rented at nearby Alarka Marina. Guests bringing their own boat may launch and store it at the community marina, located about a 10-minute drive from the home within Fontana Lake Estates.
A 4WD vehicle is strongly recommended between December and April due to potential winter road conditions.
For the fire pit, we kindly ask guests to bring their own firewood to ensure you have enough for your stay.
There is an additional guest fee of $35 per night for each guest beyond six.
Water Heater Information
The cabin features an on-demand water heater that supplies continuous hot water for normal use. Please note that filling the soaking tub may temporarily reduce hot water availability. The system reheats quickly, and we appreciate your patience if this happens.
Friendly Heads-Up: Ladybugs are common here during the winter and may gather near warm areas. A few may get inside despite cleaning.
