"Knotty Knoll" log cabin is nestled on 3+ acres.. The cabin is secluded, yet only 5 minutes to Downtown Bryson City.
Surrounded by mature trees and beautiful foliage, the atmosphere is peaceful, quiet, with fantastic views of the mountains and forest.
The well maintained private road will lead you to Knotty Knoll. The paved driveway is in excellent condition and easily accessible year-round...no need for 4WD. Ice melt is provided in case of ice on the driveway or stairs during the winter months.
Knotty Knoll is one of VRBO's most popular cabins in Bryson City and has maintained a 5 Star rating for over 20 years.
The open floor plan features vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and a wood burning fireplace faced with local creek stones. Dry split firewood is provided for an optional $25 fee. Please provide your own kindling.
The cabin features 2 bedrooms.. one with a king size bed and the other with a queen size bed. The spacious loft has 2 additional twin size beds along with a full bathroom.
The main floor full bathroom features a clawfoot tub/shower.

Liquid hand soap is provided as well as travel-size shampoo and conditioner.
The living room offers a comfortable sectional sofa that seats 4 and a cushioned rocker. The dining room table will accommodate 6. The upstairs loft provides additional space for children and adults, 2 twin beds, a small game table with 2 chairs, and a relaxing easy chair.
The kitchen is well equipped with updated appliances, microwave, pots and pans, utensils, blender, electric mixer, crock pot, 4-slice toaster, and coffee makers (espresso, regular, and Keurig). Dish detergent and paper towels provided.
The game room with a half bath is accessible only from the garage/basement. It features a pool/billiard table, wet bar, flat screen TV, and surround sound system.
Enjoy beautiful views from the large covered porch that is outfitted with rockers, porch swing, and ceiling fans.
The backyard provides the perfect space to hang out near the fire pit or soak in the clean hot tub while taking in the awesome views! A picnic table and Adirondack chairs are provided as well as additional camping chairs that are stored in the garage. There is a park-style charcoal grill available and is covered for your convenience.
The full size washer and dryer are located in the garage/basement.
Knotty Knoll is a motorcycle friendly destination. The driveway is not too steep for an experienced rider. Travelling with a small trailer? We can accommodate. Please contact us for available options. The garage will accommodate up to 4 motorcycles.
The Cabin's climate is controlled by a central heat and air system.
Unlimited internet and WIFI, flat screen TV's in the living room, king bedroom, and game room. DVD player with great selection of movies, books, and games for adults and children.
Knotty Knoll is close to all the great outdoor activities the area has to offer. Fishing, whitewater rafting, tubing, kayaking, hiking, horseback riding, zip-lining, and mountain biking.
Explore the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, Deep Creek Recreation Area, and the Road to Nowhere. Fontana Lake and dam is within 20 minutes, Harrah's Casino in Cherokee is nearby. Asheville and the nearest airport are 1 hour away. Gatlinburg is an hour and 15 minutes. You can even golf in nearby Whittier!

Very nice secluded cabin that is very close to the town of Bryson City! The indoor fireplace, and open family room and kitchen area was perfect for a long weekend getaway. The basement pool table room is also quite nice, and it's only a small inconvenience that you have to go outside to get there. The outdoor fire pit area is also quite nice. Very pretty area!

Everything was wonderful! The cabin was clean and well supplied with your basic needs. It was near town, but secluded and quiet. Very relaxing with great views. The cabin was constantly entertaining for the young and old and in between!

The high chair and various baby accessories for a bonus that was greatly enjoyed and utilized. They included complimentary laundry detergent was also a bonus. The laundry baskets to take it to the laundry utilities was a nice addition as well. The only small drawback would be maybe an upgrade to the mattress and the king bed. Besides that everything was perfect. Highly recommend staying there and will probably stay there if we come back in the area in the future.

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. Perfect setup -- beautiful property, completely remote but amazing location (minutes from town but you wouldn't know it and feel completely removed from everything), great setup, hosts were super-responsive -- everything we could want. Highly recommended! We can't wait to stay here again.

Great place to stay. Stayed there for Miata at the Gap. Road and driveway was fine for a Miata. We easily parked two Miatas at the cabin. The cabin was clean and neat. The beds were comfortable. We did not use any of the amenities just slept and showered there.

It really doesn't get any better than this! The cabin is gorgeous, super clean, spacious, and very well-appointed. The location is perfect - very secluded yet only 5-10 minutes from everything in town. We loved everything about our stay here, especially the huge, comfy master bedroom bed, sitting on the front porch in the mornings, and soaking in the hot tub. Extra points for having a full-size washer and dryer on site for guests to use! Highly recommend!

Practically perfect!

Pros: well maintained; clean; quiet & isolated, but close to town; owner/manager was super responsive, friendly & helpful; well supplied; uncluttered; great hot tub; nice pool table in game room area; good cell & internet reception; plenty of room inside; great view of distant ridgeline in the Smoky mountains from porchCons: nothing worth mentioning!! OK, nothing is perfect, so I'll mention that we had to remove a few air scent devices from the house while we were staying there, but only one of us was bothered by them and they were easily removed, and replaced when we were leaving. there are steps you have to climb to enter the main level, but nothing you wouldn't expect from a cabin in the mountains! We have to dig deep to find anything to complain about, and the owner is great to work with if anything does pop up that needs attention. Wonderful vacation time in Knotty Knoll, and we are likely to come back in the fall or next summer if it's availalbe.

Cabin was very clean, private and very comfortable. Everything we needed and close Bryson city. Great communication with managers and no problems. Lots to do and see in the area and plenty of rivers nearby to fish. Needed more time!! We will be back.

Awesome Cabin in the Mountains

The cabin was amazing! Loved the location where we felt like we were totally in the mountains, but could also get to town in a few minutes. Being able to sit out on the porch and listen to the wildlife, enjoy the hot tub, the fire pit, and the game room made for an amazing vacation. We also enjoyed the town of Bryson City and a few of the neighboring towns for some good craft beer. Definitely would recommend and stay again!

Our family loved staying at the cabin, we love Bryson city and this cabin was excellent, close to town but quiet and peaceful. From the spacious layout to the gameroom downstairs (my favorite space) it was amazing.

Fantastic Cabin!

We wanted mountain views and a feeling of being remote, but with a minivan and a 7 month old we also wanted ease of access and close to town. This cabin is the perfect combination of both! Super clean, cozy, and amazing views. All with only 5 mins to downtown, grocery store, anything you need. The hot tub was such a nice perk every evening. And the owners were so quick to respond to any question we had. Loved every bit of our getaway!
