Upon arrival, guests will receive a code that allows entry into the home. Check-in is at 3PM, and check-out is at 11AM. There will be a guest house manual upon arrival with local area recommendations including a home guide, places to see, restaurants and grocery stores. Pet-Friendly Lakeside Retreat
We love welcoming furry family members! Our home accommodates up to 2 dogs and includes pet-friendly amenities. There's plenty of space for them to explore and enjoy. A small $50 pet fee per pet helps us maintain a clean and comfortable stay for everyone.

Safety Notice – Steep Cliff Behind the Home
For your safety, please do not cross the fenced area behind the house. The cliff is steep and dangerous.

Outdoor Firepit Guidelines
- Guests are welcome to use the firepit!
- Firewood is not provided, but you may bring your own or use any leftover wood from previous guests.
- Always fully extinguish fires before leaving or going to bed.
- The firepit must remain in its designated area.
- Fire Bans: During dry periods, local authorities may issue a burn ban. If this occurs, we will notify you, and fires will not be permitted until the ban is lifted.

Nature & Wildlife Notice
Our home is surrounded by nature, so you may encounter birds, deer, and small critters. While we have regular pest control, occasional bugs (mosquitoes, ants, spiders) are part of the outdoor experience. To keep your stay comfortable:
Keep doors/windows closed to prevent insects from entering.
Store food properly and take out the trash to deter pests.
Be mindful when walking in grassy or wooded areas.

Our home is professionally cleaned and disinfected before every stay. We use premium cleaning products, focusing on high-touch surfaces like door handles, light switches, and countertops. Linens and towels are sanitized on high heat to ensure a fresh, safe environment.

Welcome! We love sharing our home with great guests like you. To keep things running smoothly (and to stay friends with our neighbors ), here are some simple house rules. We promise we’re not strict—but we do care about keeping things nice for everyone!

Be a Good Human – Respect the House & Neighbors
- Treat this home like it’s your own (unless you leave dishes in the sink at home
 then treat it better ).
- Be cool with our neighbors—no late-night karaoke battles or surprise drum solos.
- If something breaks, let us know. We’re nice, we promise!

Booking & Stay Requirements
- Minimum Age: Guests must be 21+ to book.
- Rental Agreement: A rental agreement must be signed before check-in.
- Extended Stays: Stays over 28 days require additional approval.

Pets & Smoking
- Pets: Up to 2 dogs allowed with a $50 pet fee per pet. Just clean up after them—even if they give you sad puppy eyes.
- No smoking indoors. If you light up inside, we’ll charge you a cleaning fee so high you’ll think you bought a new couch.

No Parties, But Have Fun! (Within Reason)
- We want you to have a great time, but this isn’t a frat house. No wild parties or extra guests without permission.
-Quiet-ish Hours: We get it—you’re on vacation! Just keep things chill between 11 PM - 8 AM so we don’t get angry texts from the neighbors.

Parking (Don’t Be That Guest Who Parks Like a Maniac)
- Park only in the driveway provided.
- No parking on the street, in neighbors' driveways, or on the lawn. We love our neighbors and don’t want them calling us at 2 AM about random cars in their yard.

Firepit & Grill Rules – Let’s Keep It Safe & Fun!
- Firepit Use:
- Feel free to enjoy the firepit, but never leave a fire unattended.
- Fully extinguish the fire before leaving or going to bed.
- Firewood is not provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own or use any leftovers from previous guests.
-*Burn bans may apply during dry seasons—if there’s a restriction, we’ll notify you.

- Grill Use:
- Clean up after grilling—no one likes a greasy surprise!
- Turn off the propane after use (if using a gas grill).
- Let the grill cool completely before covering it.

WiFi & Tech Stuff
Do NOT unplug the WiFi—it runs through 3 Netgear routers so you can stream, work, and TikTok in peace.
If there’s a WiFi issue, message us before unplugging anything!

Safety & Security
- Lock all doors & windows when leaving.
- Outdoor Cameras:
- Security cameras are located at the front entrance & parking area for safety (and because the insurance company likes them).
- The back deck camera is OFF during guest stays for privacy.
- There are NO cameras inside the home or in private guest spaces.
- If you see the cameras, don’t worry—we’re probably just snoozing 100 Ring notifications about a squirrel.

Cleanliness & Property Care
- Leave the place how you found it—or at least close. We don’t expect military-level tidiness, but no one likes coming home to a mess.
- Dishes: If you use it, wash it.
- Trash Take it to the bins before check-out.

Check-Out = Time to Say Goodbye
- Check-out is by 11:00 AM unless we approve otherwise.
- Before you go:
Tidy up
Put towels in the bathroom
Take out the trash
Start the dishwasher
- Late check-outs without approval may result in extra fees.

Excellent stay

From start to finish this was an excellent stay! The home was clean, roomy, and perfectly situated for our stay. The view from the deck and the sunroom was perfect. I enjoyed the early morning peace sipping my coffee taking in the view of the sun coming up over the hills behind the lake. Everything was just as shown in the listing (or better) and the owner was quick to respond when we had a question. We look forward to our next stay!

Nice Weekend on Lake Cumberland

Our stay was great, with a lot of little details taken care of that you don't normally expect. Like condiments already in the fridge, laundry detergent in the laundry room, etc. The house and property were very clean and the view of the lake was awesome. Tucked away in a very quiet area. Jordan checked in with us on Saturday morning and was easy to reach as needed. My wife loved cooking on the Blackstone. Would definitely book again.
