Linning's House at Twigley Farm

A charming Queenslander built in the 1880s that sleeps up to 6 adults located a few minutes from the charming antique town of Marburg in Ipswich. Twigley Farm is a 20 acres property with 200 meter dam, farm animals, orchard, raised garden bed and venue space for weddings. We are a family run business with two generations living on the property. Linning's House is the crown jewel situated in the middle of Twigley Farm. Featuring a king bedroom with dressing room, ensuite and claw foot bath as well as two luxurious queen bedrooms and a full bathroom. The kitchen flows into the dining and next door is a separate cosy living room with a pot belly fireplace, the perfect room for a late night game of chess. Every room has french doors that open out to the wrap around verandah that connects to the deck overlooking the back of the property. You might spot a horse or two while having breakfast here. The backyard is shaded by our 200 year old fig tree, which would have been planted by the german family our house is named after, the Linnings family. Linning's House & its yard is all yours, and the space around it is shared by our family and farm animals. Sometimes the area around is very quiet, and sometimes a tractor may be in the paddock or our horses are grazing nearby. Wander up the driveway and down the grass path to the dam which is a great spot for a morning coffee or a sunset wine. You will see some farm animals (horses, mini ponies, mini goats & geese) along the way. We live on the property and our home is at the very end of the driveway. We may see you around the farm throughout the day. We have two dogs in our family who may wander down to visit. Please feel free to message us with any issues. Please Note: - Pets are not permitted. - Candles are not permitted inside or outside Linning’s House. If you are visiting with children, please supervise them at all times. (There are delicate furnishings, unfenced dams, and farm animals on the property.) Photoshoots, Additional Guests, Wedding Preparation If you would like to use Linning’s House or any part of Twigley Farm for a professional or personal photoshoot, please arrange this with us before booking. A photoshoot fee will apply. If you are using Linning’s House for wedding preparation and would like your makeup artist (MUA), photographer, or other visitors to attend, please arrange this with us before booking. A visitor fee will apply. If you would like to invite guests during your stay (for example, for a dinner or afternoon gathering), please arrange this with us before booking.
