This property is a holiday rental, not a principal place of residence and there are no shared rooms. Enjoy your time in comfort and privacy in a great location.

Welcome to 13a Bigoon Road, a comfortable three-bedroom, low-set beach house set on a flat, level block in the heart of Point Lookout. Perfectly positioned, this home is just a short stroll to the local Foodworks, the iconic Straddie Hotel, cafés, takeaway spots, the Whale Tail Gelati Shop, beautiful beaches, and scenic walking tracks—no car required.

Inside, you’ll find everything you need for an easy and enjoyable stay. The well-equipped kitchen features a Bosch dishwasher, gas cooktop, wall oven, fridge/freezer, bar fridge, and a coffee machine (pods available at Bob’s) to start your mornings right.
The home is fitted with ceiling fans and partial screening for comfort, and includes a top-loading washing machine and clothes dryer for added convenience. Step outside to the undercover outdoor area, perfect for relaxed meals or evening drinks, complete with a gas BBQ. Off-street parking is available in the carport.

Whether you’re here for a beach getaway, a walking adventure, or a laid-back island escape, 13a Bigoon Road offers a central, comfortable base to enjoy everything Straddie has to offer.   

Linen is supplied and beds are made on arrival. Cleaning is included in the tariff at this property.

Reviewer Comments: We went to the Blue House extremely worried as we received an email from Ray White the day before reminding us to bring toilet paper and dishcloth and every little tiny thing. We then read the reviews and most of the reviews indicated that the house was dirty and cold/hot. So we packed everything with us. But when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised that it is clean, new and has almost everything we need in the kitchen including salt and pepper, oil, chux, tea towels. There were also one roll of toilet paper in each toilet. There are also blankets and a heater in the living room (didn't get to use it as the weather was really nice)The only things that it didn't have is a hair dryer and dish sponge. Anyway, we all enjoyed the house. It's a 2 min walk to the supermarket and very close to the beach and North Gorge Walk where there are a few nice eateries. We will return.

Good location & good value, but needs a good clean

Comfortable beds and roomy main bedroom, but B3 is just OK ( but narrow) with a bunk for 2 kids. Very good wifi.Well equipped kitchen. Bathrooms a bit old but OK.While the floors and benchtops were clean, the house needs a good clean - very dusty under beds, window sills and insect screens ( our daughter turned the ceiling fan on in B2 the 1st night and had swollen eyes and sneezing that night). Also lounge suite, cushions and mat in living room need to be replaced or cleaned well - wasn't inviting to sit on. TV instructions would also be useful.Overall a good holiday stay, especially if someone would spend a few hours doing some extra cleaning - we did pass this onto Ray White Office mid February 2024 - hopefully this has been attended to ( we are not the first to raise this matter!!)

Reviewer Comments: Location was 10/10, walking distance to shops and beach.The house suited our family of 6 comfortably.There was alot not listed on the house facilities that was infact included in the property.There is WIFI.There is netflix.2 of the 3 bedrooms had aircon which was great.Living room and main bedroom did not have aircon, but did have ceiling fans, we stayed over christmas and suffered from the heat at night in particular which made it quite uncomfortable, the main bedroom really needs aircon as there is zero airflow from the windows.Beds were comfortable.Alot of kitchenware provided, platters, glad wrap, cleaning products, this was great!Outside deck area was nice, enough room to put up a small blowup pool for the kids.Disappointed with the cleanliness of the house.It needs a thorough deep clean.The bathroom showers have mould which can easily be cleaned with bleach.The window cills, behind bedside tables, under beds were filthy. So much dust, dirt, rubbish from previous tenants.It is clearly visible that the cleaner comes and only vacuums and mops the main walking areas. The property would also benefit with a vacuum on site, a broom is not sufficient.Please please replace dish cloths before using, we all got sick within the first 24hours and I can put this down to dirty dish cloths.Things you need to take yourself, toilet paper (its not provided) mozzie coils (there is a ridiculous amount of mozzies everywhere (our baby was eaten all over her body as she slept in the main bedroom), spare bath towels.Overall, we did enjoy our stay, and we hope the small things listed above are taken into consideration for the landlord/Ray White to fix, as I have seen previous reviews stating the exact same issues.

Great house and location

Bit disappointing that the dishwasher didn’t work and neither did the microwave. When informing Ray White about this we were told they wouldn’t be replaced during our stay. It was already known that they didn’t work but we weren’t informed beforehand. No discount or solution was offered. I requested a late checkout 11am for some recompense and it was reluctantly given after pushing.

Much deserved Getaway

Lovely kitchen & outside deck area etc. Doesn't have any yard area though & detached dwelling is quite close behind Blue House. Great location close to shop & short walk to beach. Just two things with the house that did not suit us, one being no heater other than 2 air cons in middle bed rooms but not in lounge or main bedroom. The warmth did travel up to main bedroom after a while, however, the lounge area was quite chilly. The other thing that may need addressing is the door to outside in the ensuite as the wind was blowing leaves under the door so I put a towel there & that fixed it. Overall our stay was pleasant.

We walked everywhere, Cylinder Beach less than 10 minutes away & only 15 or so to Point lookout. A couple of small things would have made our stay even better. It was winter & there was no heating in the living room. The house was very shady & would be perfect in summer but a heater would be great. The range hood was broken & the gas stove needs maintenance. Some instructions about the TV & wifi would be useful. Having mentioned these we have already booked for another week.

However the house was not properly cleaned when we arrived; dirt/sand in a pile in one of the bedrooms and I found a sliced cheese container under the bed. A number of the lights didn't work and the air con in one of the bedrooms stopped working after the first night.
