Amazing boutique hotel. Really central but not noisy. Delicious freshly cooked breakfast. incredibly attentive and kind hosts. Spotless room, with everything we needed - very comfy bed and spacious en suite. Also enjoyed the amazing modern art. Would highly recommend and intend to return.
Great place to stay for a short break in Brighton. Room was small but fit for purpose same as the bathroom. Everything spotlessly clean!
Reception staff were fabulous.
Perfect location for our first visit to Brighton. Host of property was so Friendly and welcoming and the art work around the property was amazing, the breakfast was delicious and I will return just for the banana bread x
Helpful staff, good conversations on a variety of subjects, parking permits, walking distance to everywhere, good quality room and a tasty breakfast, everything we wanted from our short break.
Wonderful stay at this beautiful guest house. Vesna was a fantastic hostess and made us very welcome. Our room was clean, comfortable and full of thoughtful touches. Breakfast was delicious and homemade. We will definitely stay again.
We recently stayed at The Cavalaire for two nights Friday - Sunday. This was our first trip to Brighton. We really enjoyed our stay. Check in and check out was a breeze, friendly staff, cousy tidy rooms and wacky decor. Well filled coffee/ tea making facilities in the room was much appreciated, and complimentary water. Well situated with short walk to sea front. Walkable to all areas of Brighton we wanted to visit, restaurants, bars and train station.
We wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend to friends and family.
My wife and I recently spent two fantastic days in Brighton and our stay at The Cavalaire was a big part of the overall experience. A perfectly located gem managed with exceptional hospitality, artistry and kindness by Vesna & Jamal.
We stayed one night on a Thursday night and had a lovely stay - Vesna and Jamal were very friendly.
The room was spotless and very comfy and the breakfast was yummy - healthy (yoghurt with cinnamon and seeds!) and also a traditional cooked breakfast. We would love to stay here again
We came to this little family-owned hotel, and from the first moment we stepped into the hotel, we were met with friendly people and an excellent service. The atmosphere in the hotel was Nice and warm. The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable and had everything you needed. And right in the middle of Brighton. In walking distance to everything.
A warm welcome on arrival was a good starting point to a lovely stay at The Cavalaire. The room was clean and well-presented with tea, coffee and biscuits included. A short walk to everything in Brighton, including the beach at the bottom of the road.
Very comfortable room and welcoming atmosphere. Easy walking distance to the sea and the Lanes. Wonderful breakfasts and art throughout the hotel. We would certainly return there.
I enjoyed my stay at Cavalaire. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and my room was comfortable. Good location, in walking distance to the beach, city centre and station.
I really liked the funky environment and beautiful artwork. The room, even though small, was very nicely decorated and the bathroom was beautifully renovated (but again, small for a tall person!). The bed was especially comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
Nice, clean hotel. Good amenities and staff very friendly and helpful. The standard double room is very small though and the bathroom hardly big enough to move in.
Check-in was very bad, we turned up after 4pm and our room still wasn't ready, despite check-in being available from 2pm. The owners put this down to staffing issues, although shouldn't hotels have contingency plans for this sort of thing!? We were on a short timescale having to get to a show that evening and couldn't get into our room until nearly 5pm and so did not have a chance to freshen up for the evening. Even with this inconvenience the owners did not even offer us a drink of water and suggested that we go to the local pub and wait until the room was ready. They did however, not charge us for the parking permits as compensation.
The breakfast room is also very small with only 4 tables for two people, so you cannot always have breakfast at the time you want, if too many other guests are having breakfast at the same time.
