Croyde’s many tearooms, pubs and restaurants welcome you in for holiday meals, while souvenirs can be picked up in the independent shops and at the summer craft market on Tuesdays. Croyde is a walker’s paradise, with the South West Coast Path passing through. Take the cliff walk over to the 3-mile golden sandy beach of Woolacombe, or head the other direction to discover the vast expanse of Saunton Sands (1 mile). 2 miles beyond Saunton is the busy village of Braunton, with its supermarket, pubs and good restaurants. For a fun-filled day out by the sea, visit the bustling harbour town of Ilfracombe (8 miles), where Damien Hirst’s Verity statue, boat trips from the harbour, arcades and seaside thrills and spills await.


This beautifully renovated cottage offers a stylish space to enjoy a family holiday or getaway with friends. Retaining original oak beams and exuding character, it is spacious and bright, with room for socialising and relaxing. Step into the porch – handy for shedding sandy shoes and beach gear – before curling up on one of the cosy sofas in the lounge to relax in front of the wood burner. The Smart TV provides evening entertainment or gather around the dining table in the separate dining room for post-dinner board games and cards. A second wood burner and Smart TV complete this pleasant room. The stylish kitchen with its electric range cooker and elegant breakfast bar is a chef’s dream, equipped with everything you need to whip up a tasty meal for your whole group. A lovely family shower room with a walk-in shower and WC, and a utility room with washing facilities complete the ground floor. Upstairs are three welcoming bedrooms. The master king-size room is accessed via its own staircase. It is a cosy sanctuary with a pitched ceiling, stunning oak beams, and a Smart TV. Another king-size bedroom and a tranquil room with three single beds are reached via the second staircase. A stylish walk-in shower with a WC completes the first floor.


Outside, the pretty garden is tucked away within the former chapel walls which are adorned with pretty lights to enhance the evening atmosphere. Alongside the wall, the patio is set with comfortable garden furniture for dining and relaxing outdoors. Fire up the charcoal BBQ, pizza oven and fire pit, and enjoy a leisurely swing in the hammock on the lawn while dinner sizzles away.
