Blue Bayou - Charming home with heated pool, tiki and OPTIONAL BOAT DOCKAGE

Old and new Florida charm coexist for a relaxing and comfortable stay in this clean, charming, newly renovated home tucked in a treasure location between all that is tropical, beach, and water. Our location is unique in that you do not have the expense of staying directly on the water yet have access to a dock (just steps from the property) for boat dockage. There is a neighborhood bridge with a 84” clearance at king high tide.

Coming with boats and trailers? Not a problem. Thanks to the exuberant amount of parking on this property, you can arrive and unload your gear, trailer the boat to the boat ramp 2 blocks away, park the trailer back at your doorstep, and dock the boat steps from your temporary abode. Being a boating family, one of our greatest goals was to make access to the water as easy and cost efficient as possible.

The prize of this home is the backyard oasis. The myriad of sunny days, 249 per year, is the inspiration for this tropical getaway within a getaway. Beginning with the refreshing saltwater pool (heated for an additional fee) and ending with the stately 390 square foot tiki hut with ambient lighting, the in-betweens will delight also such as the propane firepit for cool evenings, the outside shower for a convenient rinse (especially after a salty day on the water), the convenient outside-access half bath, and spacious turf for cornhole and other game-playing. This oasis will continue to pull you outdoors for entertaining and relaxing with a grill and grill tools for preparing your catch of the day, a full-size fridge for easy access to libations and snacks, a teak table for dining for 8, and lounge seating and a large TV under the tiki.

This home is exactly as pictured. The pool and tiki hut are the stars of the show! The backyard was beautiful and very relaxing. You can tell that a lot of love, thought, and money was put into this home to make it accommodating. The hosts have thought of everything, and we really appreciated being able to borrow their beach supplies! The welcome snacks were such a nice surprise for our hungry kids after traveling and were appreciated. This house was simply wonderful for our family.

Our family had a fabulous stay! The spacious backyard was perfect for our group—we enjoyed both the sunshine and the ample shade under the tiki hut. The screened-in porch, complete with a bathroom and second fridge, was a standout feature. The house itself was exceptionally clean, well-equipped, and thoughtfully maintained. The hosts were communicative, responsive, and very helpful throughout our stay. We would absolutely recommend this property to anyone!

My Family came down for a Soccer Tournament at IMG. The location could not of been better for that. 15 minutes to IMG, 15 minutes to the beaches, great restaurants were all in close proximity. My children loved the pool (Heated), the Tiki Hut, and outdoor living area. It was perfect for the down times and evenings after dinners out. The hosts were amazing as our travel home was delayed and they were more than helpful and flexible with our Check out plans (They even mailed back home a clothing item my daughter left behind). We are hoping to come back if we ever play down at IMG again or decide to vacation in the area.

This lovely home has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. The outdoor space, yard games, tiki hut with tv, pool, and grill was amazing! The indoor space was comfortable and decorated beautifully, the kitchen contained everything you could possibly need. We utilized the nearby dock access for fishing and also an easy walk to the river. We used the bikes and beach equipment available at the house. Location is great with a short drive to the beach and shopping just minutes away. We enjoyed everything about our stay and can’t wait to return!

This property is beautiful and the host our outstanding. The backyard is hidden behind a privacy fence which provides peace and tranquility. The backyard has a spacious Tiki and it is a great way to beat the heat or you can take a dip in the pool. The host are respectful, accommodating and respond very quickly. Paradise!

We had a wonderful trip and the house was fantastic. We’ve stayed in many rentals and this was by far the most stocked and cleanest. They even provided more outdoor items (for beach and pool) than listed. We utilized all of the things and went to nearly all of the recommended restaurants and all were fantastic! The house was as close to everything we wanted to visit and the backyard was great for our family! I even had contact with the owners (our issues not house issues) and they were so kind, responsive and helpful! I cannot say enough good things. Book the trip and enjoy paradise!

This place was wonderful. The back yard space was so inviting and spacious. The fishing was close by. Beach was a quick 15 minute drive. It is located 15 mins from IMG academy. Stores and restaurants very close. I highly recommend this place.

property and area was great, it was our first time on the west Florida area for most of us, it was a terrific vacation, house was clean, updated, spacious, we used the outdoor space alot, pool, tiki hut were used the most, the large Tree Of Life was the focal point of most of the conversation and bird watching, squirrels playing. we used the beach chairs, canopy and bikes that was nice to have to use, we visited 4 different beaches and all were great in there different ways which was unique with beaches so close to one another. Venice beach was our favorite just for the fact it was so crystal clear that day even the locals said they never really see it that way. All in all a great vacation and hope to be back. We really enjoyed our visit and this home was a key reason. It is a beautiful, clean home with everything you need while on vacation. The pool and backyard are fantastic. The home is in a quiet neighborhood, right down the road from the boat ramp, and seemingly less than 20 minutes to virtually any beach you’d want to visit. The beaches are quite busy, so we appreciated staying a bit further away with the family in this quiet setting. We’ll absolutely look to stay here again when visiting the area.

Perfect vacation home with amazing back yard oasis

Our family had the best time over our spring break vacation at the blue bayou. From the time you pull into the driveway, you’re welcomed with that coastal vacation vibe that helps you relax. The house was perfectly clean, the decor was coastal/old Florida style (which I love!), the air conditioning system was strong, the reclining couches were very comfortable, the water pressure in the showers were strong, the beds were comfortable, the floors felt great on your feet, the door locks were nice and strong which made me feel more comfortable with our toddler, there were plenty of towels, the laundry was conveniently located in the garage, attached to the master bedroom, the turf and white rocks were so aesthetically pleasing to the eye, the tiki hut is the perfect place to relax, the Tommy Bahama outdoor dining ware was a thoughtful addition to vacationing, the pool/toys were perfect, there’s even a yellow cabinet full of family dvd’s, a PlayStation, board games, and a super fun building maze that my 3 children bonded over while building together. The unexpected highlight of our stay was definitely the awesome dock within walking distance that my son caught multiple catfish on. The manatees put on a show for us every time we visited! So fun! I really appreciated the beach chairs and tent for our beach days! The neighborhood was quiet and close enough to several beautiful beaches. We hope to return soon as we have special family in Bradenton nearby.

Perfect Backyard Oasis

My family was looking for a relaxing Spring Break and Blue Bayou checked that off of the list. As soon as I saw pictures of the backyard, I knew this would be the house that we would book. It did not disappoint. We lived outside for the entire week. Swimming, watching the wrap up of the regular Hockey season under the Tiki Hut, playing cornhole. Repeat. The house was even better than the pictures. Clean and spacious. Quiet neighborhood. Private backyard. We were 2 adults and a 10 year old. There was plenty of toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags provided for our sized group. We also liked that there was shampoo and body wash available, as well. I was also thankful there was a blow-dryer, as I didn't have to pack mine! There was a washer and dryer and detergent tablets provided, but we did not use them this trip.We ordered groceries from Publix for pick up on the way to check in, which worked out great, as Publix was pretty close. There was salt and pepper at the house, but if you need anything else for seasonings, you'll want to pick those up yourself. However, the kitchen is fully stocked otherwise. Any pot, pan or dish that you could need! 10/10, will definitely come back and stay here, when in the area. We were sad to leave! P.S. If you are looking for a good take out spot for a meal, go to Stone Bowl Pan Asian, which is a short 5 minute drive from the house. We loved our meals from there, so tasty and flavorful!

We were bouncing around Florida so we only had a 2 day stay. We wish we could’ve stayed longer. This house worked out perfect for the whole family. This was a FANTASTIC property for our family! We loved the location in Bradeton. It was off the beaten path so we didn't feel the crowds of spring break but close to everything! The backyard is private, so big and set up so well. You can enjoy everything from the pool, a game on the tv, a fire and a bags tournament. They thought of everything! The house is also wonderful. We didn't spend much time in the house though. We spent most of our time in the backyard and screened in porch. We would stay again for sure!

Wonderful backyard

The backyard felt like a private oasis - loved the pool and the shaded area of the yard. Kids loved running in the yard too. House was comfortable. Drive to island varied from 20min- 1 hr depending on what time of day you left.

BIG Thumbs Up!

Delightful home that was spotless and has an amazing backyard. It was nice to have bikes to ride and lots of beach supplies. The heated pool was warm, even in chilly weather. Great communication with the host. Beds and pillows were comfy. Loved the short distance to Anna Maria Island where we soaked up the sun on its beaches, took in a sunset & enjoyed a dolphin boat tour. Our 7 yr old grandson loved the Pac Man Arcade game. We had everything we needed for our 3 week stay. Thank you Brian & Tonya for our lovely, relaxing vacation.
