The shimmering blue waters of Lobster Cove await just across the road from this oceanfront home in Boothbay Harbor. In this supremely scenic and walkable spot, you'll be a matter of steps from Barrett Park and a short stroll from the footbridge leading into downtown.

This two-story home is the main house on a waterfront property that it shares with a separate apartment. Walk home from a day spent gallery-hopping in town to be greeted by a beautiful front deck overlooking the cove - a lovely spot for sharing lobster rolls from Boothbay Lobster Wharf down the street.

Inside, find a living room with large windows, where you can play board games and stream movies on the flatscreen TV each evening. There's also a well-equipped kitchen and a gas grill for the nights you're not eating out, dining tables both inside and outside, and a propane firepit with a commanding view of the water (which is shared with guests in the apartment). High-speed WiFi and a washer/dryer are provided as well. - AC to be installed May 2025

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Lobster Cove at Barrett's Watch. When I hear "cozy," I'm always nervous it will be small, but we had PLENTY of room and the home was clean and well laid out for a nice stay. Having a washer and dryer was super convenient, and the climate controls worked well and we were comfortable. Beautiful view from the front deck overlooking the cove. We went as the leaves were approaching peak––love that we could just walk across the road to Barrett's Park and get down to the water easily. Short drive into town; we felt like locals before the end of our trip. Thanks for a great, no-stress trip with clear communications and great amenities!

Loved it!!!

Property was excellent. Clean and it had all of the necessary amenities. We hope to return next year. Slight problem with the door lock entry. It should be noted that the lock apparatus should be in the vertical position before trying to lock or unlock the door. Otherwise it just spins The good thing was that someone answered our call and was willing tOtherwise the lock just spins

'Good location

We had some problems getting in with the electronic lock as the instructions weren't as clear as they could have been. My husband, the techie, figured it out. Vacasa was responsive when we had problems with the ice maker and sent someone right over but I wasn't used to the rather skimpy stocking that Vacasa provides in terms of dishwasher pods and garbage bags, etc. The kitchen had a weird frying pan and very few utensils for cooking on the nonstick equipment, in fact very few cooking utensils at all.There were plenty of dishes, glasses and knives, however. The huge refrigerator was a plus. The unit was very clean. The location was very good and I could walk into town and my husband could kayak from the park. He also found a good bike route from the house. The view is lovely from the front and it's quiet on that street. With the one small bathroom, this is really a house for just two people.

Review Barrett's Cottage

Trouble with entering the cottage via key-lock system/mechanism, it is a bear to learn and to operate! Local rep had to come over to do for us. Please consider another entry and lock method. Elsewise, nice location, quiet neighborhood, and we appreciated the cleanliness of the place. Kitchen also fairly well stocked for cooking and serving.

Boothbay harbor home

Property was very nice. Some stained linens. Trouble with main door lock. Called Vacasa for help. The house itself was very pretty. Neighborhood was quiet with a nice view of the water.

Great location, beautiful view

This house is conveniently located just a 20-minute walk to the shops/restaurants of Boothbay Harbor by way of the foot bridge. The view of Lobster Cove from the front deck is beautiful. The yard provided space for our teens to throw the football and Frisbee around. The layout of the home is perfect for a family of 4.

Beautiful home on cozy cove

We loved our 5 night stay in this clean, airy, cozy house. It was such a great place to “come home to” after a day of exploring. It is well furnished and has lots of windows to enjoy the view and the breeze. The beds were comfortable; our college boys slept well in the twin beds. The kitchen is well equipped: fridge has a water and ice spigget, Keurig coffee maker can either brew a pot or use K cups. No filters needed. The front of the house faces a beautiful cove that is very quiet. You can sit inside or on the deck for a view that doesn’t get old. Walk across the street 1/2 block and visit Barrett Park. You can swim, climb the rocks, sit at the picnic tables. Lots of friendly dogs are walked here. The walk to town is easy and pretty with water views and lovely homes along the way. The footbridge was closed during our stay so the walk was just over a mile. Lots of restaurants, bakeries, and shops to keep you busy. We highly recommend this home. The Boothbay harbor location was perfect for our needs.

Perfect House in a Quiet Setting

This home in Boothbay was as described in the listing. The house is furnished with clean and comfortable furniture. The kitchen is stocked with all that is needed, except salt & pepper shakers. The footbridge to town was under construction, so we were unable to walk it. It is a lot farther than a short walk, so we may not have used it anyway. The bridge is a 2 minute drive from the house and than at least a mile to town. Other than that it was a perfect place for home base as we adventured thru Maine.

great view & quiet neighborhood

Cute home with a beautiful water view, nice deck and large windows. Great location near Barrett Park and a short walk to the footbridge to downtown Boothbay with restaurants, kayak rentals, shops and more. Would rent here again!
