Welcome to your quintessential coastal Maine escape. This beautifully renovated two-story apartment occupies the top two floors of a charming 1894 Victorian home, nestled in the heart of downtown Boothbay Harbor. Combining timeless character with upscale comforts, the space offers harbor views, high-end finishes, and an unbeatable locationâperfect for families, couples, or small groups seeking a walkable, pet-friendly retreat.
Inside, youâll find warm, rustic design touches including timber walls, shiplap accents, and reclaimed barrel dĂ©cor, all softened by the natural light pouring in through oversized windows. The stylish kitchen is equipped with slate countertops from Monson, Maine, rich wood cabinetry, and modern stainless appliances, making it a pleasure to cook local seafood or morning brunches at home. A custom chandelier hangs above the dining table, and a stained glass window offers a peek onto the private back deck with seating for six.
The spacious living area is made for relaxation, with a large sectional sofa, a wall-mounted TV, and playful features like a wine-barrel coffee table and a matching barrel dog bed for your furry friend. Step outside to a sunny second-floor deck and enjoy fresh ocean air.
The main level features a tranquil primary suite with a queen bed, sitting chair, and a private bath outfitted with a barrel-themed sink and tiled shower. A half bath with a marble sink adds convenience for guests. Upstairs, two more bedrooms awaitâone with a queen bed and an oversized round window framing panoramic harbor views, and a fun bunk room perfect for kids, complete with two twin-over-twin bunks and bean bag chairs. We booked our annual trip up to Maine and was lucky enough to book Buddyâs Barrel House. Most of the time this property is booked up pretty quickly when the year starts and now we understand why. Every detail that went into this house is very impressive from the curated decor to the color coordinating Fiesta dinnerware. They keep it very well stocked with cookware, k-cups, linens, etc. The house itself is gorgeous and filled with so much character. We spent our mornings on the deck eating breakfast and enjoying the view. We LOVED the location, all of our favorite spots were just a few feet away from the front door. Looking forward to staying here again for our next visit to Boothbay!

The place was immaculate! Location was great. It was very convenient to park the car and be able to walk to everything. The house was so unique. You could spend a day just looking at the special features of the house and the detail of it. It was very well stocked, the beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen made you want to fix meals and not go out to eat. We are looking forward to our next vacation there. GREAT PLACE!!!

Trash & Recycling
-Please remove all trash, including any food left in the fridge, and place bagged trash in the outdoor bins located under the deck in front of the driveway.
-You do not need to bring the cans to the street.
-Recycling does not need to be sorted, except for bottles and cans that are refundable in Maine. These can be set asideâfeel free to return them to a local redemption center, or housekeeping will collect them.
-No Smoking is permitted anywhere inside or outside on the property.
-Fireworks are strictly prohibited on the premises.
-Damage Policy: Accidents happenâplease report any damage promptly so we can address it quickly. The Damage Waiver covers unintentional damage to the property and its contents up to $1500, provided damages are reported to Ohana Vacations before check-out. (Airbnb reservations excluded)
-Starter Pack - Ohana provides a starter supply of essentials (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.). Guests are responsible for replenishing these items as needed.

-Spices & condiments
-Mosquito/tick repellent
-Personal hygiene items
-Sunscreen
-dBeach towels
Grill Use - If a grill is available, please do not move it and keep it 5â10 feet from the house at all times. Kindly clean the grill after each use. If propane runs out, please contact Ohana customer service for a replacement.
Private Wells & Septic Systems: Many of our homes use private wells and septic systems.
-Flush only toilet paperâno wipes, feminine products, or other items.
-Avoid driving on the lawn, as pipes run underground.
-Be mindful of water usage. Excessive use (especially back-to-back showers or laundry) may temporarily drain the well or hot water. Give it time to replenish between uses.
