Peaceful Outdoor Living near the Blue Ridge Parkway and 5 min to Boone!

5 min to Boone, 15 min to Blowing Rock, 15 seconds to the Parkway! All the fun of camping in a vintage Avion RV without the hassle! Don’t cram in between two tents/RVs at the local campgrounds. The Avion is nestled down in our woods for your own peaceful mountain getaway.

The skinny: Electricity yes but no AC (Thankfully it stays cool up here at night- fans available). Outdoor kitchen an HOT outdoor shower experience uses captured rain water (said to be the “most unique shower experience” ever had!). Drinking water provided, super clean Porta-Jon toilet (reviewed as the “cleanest Jon I have ever used” by a former guest).

Family of 4? Ask us about one or two children/infants staying or pitching a tent/hammock for the older kids.

Booked this last minute, got the check in instructions and got there no problem. Was super clean when we got there and was perfect for the weekend. Can’t get a better location for the price.

Fun "outdoorsy" stay for two

Booked this stay as part of husbands milestone birthday. Location was super convenient to Boone and local attractions. Host was super responsive and very hospitable. Though it rained some while we were there, it was still an enjoyable experience!

Great Location

We enjoyed our stay in this trailer tucked away in the woods just minutes from downtown Boone. The trailer was cozy and the bed was very comfortable. When I booked this location I did not read the description very well so did not realize that there was no running water in the trailer or that the port-a-potty was a hundred yards or so away until after I made the reservation. My wife and I are used to creature comforts and rarely camp so found the set-up to be inconvenient. Also, we are used to having fast internet coverage. The wifi at the trailer was hit or miss and slow at best.

An amazing place to stay in the mountains !

The view was beautiful and the place was super clean. I would recommend for anyone looking for a mountain adventure. They did an awesome providing the amenities! So close to lakes, views, attractions and stores. There is a cute little creek trail, I would recommend taking. We really had a wonderful time. We will be back for sure!

Best VRBO experience

Everything was perfect. I liked it because it was tucked away, Mark was extremely hospitable, they even had a little trail that you could walk by that has a mini little creek through it. I actually love the showers outside. Total experience. You could feel the quiet, and peace in that area. I highly recommend if you're looking for a getaway from the hustle and bustle in life!

Anniversary Trip

We had an excellent stay at this property. The only issue was when we arrived and the camper was not ready. However, it was quickly remedied and there weren't any other issues. The camper came with a plug in heater that kept the room warm - at one point we turned it off because it worked so well! We would definitely stay there again.

Nice Little Place to stay

My stay was nice although it drizzled the whole time I was there, could not take advantage of any of the outdoor activates. Nevertheless, nice just the same. Will stay again.
