42 North Vermont is proud to present Wandering Moose at Stratton!

Wandering Moose is a recently renovated modern house secluded in the woods of the High Meadow development. The entire house has been well appointed and expertly curated by 42 North's in house designer. Conveniently located on the shuttle route to Stratton Mountain and just around the corner from the Stratton golf course, the house is also close to multiple state parks, swimming holes/waterfalls, and other outdoor activities; making it a great spot for year-round visits. The house is equipped with high-speed internet connection and Wi-Fi throughout - perfect for remote learning and/or working from home.

Guests have access to the entire property.

Although we are not available in person, we can be reached through Airbnb, text, email, and phone. If additional assistance is needed, our caretaker is local to the area and can be contacted to visit the property.

We recommend 4WD or AWD vehicles for winter months.

The Stratton Mountain shuttle operates during the day on winter weekends and winter holidays (Dec, Jan, Feb, March). The full, detailed schedule can be found on the Stratton Resort website. The shuttle is operated by Stratton Resort and we are unable to control the schedule or changes in service due to weather, etc.

Dogs visit the home on occasion so if you are allergic please take this into consideration.

The house is family friendly but is not baby-proofed.

Please note the following:

* Upon booking, the person who booked will be required to sign a rental agreement.
* Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Please note that there is a pet fee of $75 per night per pet.
* The nightly rate includes hot tub and pool maintenance. The hot tub is serviced between each stay. The pool is serviced weekly.

My family stayed here for a weekend with another family and it was perfect. Very convenient to the mountain, both the pool and the hot tub were the best end of day activity and the owners were very quick to respond with the littlest questions. The layout is great for families with a open kitchen for adults to hang out in and a fun basement for kids. There was clearly a lot of care taken in decorating - we didn't feel like we were in a stale rental which is always nice. We will definitely be back!!

We had a fantastic stay this past weekend. The home was extremely clean, well maintained, and clearly professionally managed, which made the entire experience seamless from arrival through checkout.The amenities really set it apart — the pool, sauna, and hot tub were perfect after a day of skiing and made the house feel like a private retreat. Everything in the home was thoughtfully set up to ensure guests have a comfortable and relaxing stay.Overall, it was a great property for a ski trip and we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a well-run, comfortable home with great amenities.

we spent new year's week at wandering moose with 6 adults & 3 pups...this house is just amazing! it is gorgeous, with attention to details. wandering moose was the perfect size for all of us. the hot tub was used and loved. the best part of this house, however, is the swing in the lower level. best place to take a nap! the host is super responsive and even messaged us bc he had some alert on his phone and wanted to check on it. and, like the listing says the property manager shows up with 1" of snow or more.tthe hoiuse would be truly perfect if there was a fenced in area for the pups to hang in and, more importantly to me, i would recommend using laudry detergent that is both gluten free and fragrance free. (i have celiac and the fragrance was very overpowering).

Great house! Nice bedrooms and accommodations including open living space, kids game room in basement, hot tub and sauna. Very conveniently located from Stratton mountain on shuttle line. Only comment would be for hosts to think through some more simple daily items such as hooks for coats, dressers in bedrooms for clothing, etc

Lovely Home

We had a lovely weekend in this newly renovated home with lots of space for everyone in our group. We enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and wood burning fireplace. House was clean and had everything we needed. Host was responsive and checked in to make sure we were ok.

This house is exactly what you want in a mountain home. Multiple fire places plenty of room yet cozy feel. Plenty of bathrooms. And the location is perfect. This property was everything that it promised it would be. The beds were comfy, the sheets and towels were great quality, the family room had plenty of seating and the kitchen was well stocked. Amazing week with friends and family, will be back

Our set up: two families with elementary school age children and a dog. Amazing ski week at Wandering Moose. The house is fantastic, host is super responsive and easy to deal with. The pics in the post are very accurate and would say the house is even more impressive when you see it in person. We will def be booking again next year.

Wonderful vacation home

This property was just like the pictures. We had a large group and everyone was comfortable. The only downside was that the shuttle to Stratton Resort does not run during the week, only on weekends. Otherwise, it was ideal!

Super Bowl weekend and skiing

Perfect weekend! Plenty of room for two big families. Clean & comfortable. Owners were great to work with. Even dropped off an extra propane tank for us to grill. The family room was a perfect place to watch the Super Bowl with its giant tv and plenty of seating. We highly recommend staying at this home. Huge fireplace. Plenty of wood. Less than a 3 minutes drive to the mountain. We will back!

Excellent experience

The house was very clean and accommodated our group of 7. We enjoyed grilling, cooking, sitting by the fire, using the hot tub and relaxing on our annual trip to southern vermont. David and Bonnie couldn’t have been any nicer or accommodating. They were very quick to reply to any questions we had. It’s very close to Stratton, I would recommend during ski season.

Stunning Stratton Mountain House!!
