Sweet Meadow Cottage is an enchanting, meticulously kept lake view cottage on the lake at SweetGrass, a beautiful private community where you can relax, fish (catch and release), mountain bike, walk the trails, kayak, and enjoy nature at its finest. The community is in close proximity to popular attractions like the Blue Ridge Parkway, Price Lake, Cone Manor House and trails, and WestGlow Spa.



The cottage is located on a beautifully landscaped property closest to the "Lake House," a private gathering spot for property owners in the community. Guests at Sweet Meadow Cottage may use the grassy areas, including the Lake House lawn, the beach area and all community trails. The owners provide a kayak and life jackets for your use as well as two mountain bikes! There is an outdoor firepit and covered grilling area for your use and is located at the Sweet Grass "Lake House".



You will love the relaxing sound of the natural flowing stream behind the home. The covered cottage deck faces the lake and has an outdoor wood burning fireplace, a dining table, and over-sized comfy wicker furniture, making outdoor dining or sitting by the fireplace a treat in several seasons! The cabin also has a grill for your use.  



The living area with vaulted ceiling has a stacked stone gas log fireplace and ample seating for conversation. Stream your favorite shows on the smart TV or play a board game on the large leather coffee table.  Adjacent to the living area is an open dining area that seats up to six. Next to the dining area is a large kitchen, with kitchen island, also open to the living area, so that you can visit with your guests while cooking up a veritable feast! The kitchen has all stainless appliances, ample granite countertops, a large farmhouse style sink, and all the usual cookware, dishes, glassware and utensils you will need. The kitchen includes a coffee maker (keurig and French press) toaster, microwave, dishwasher, range, oven, refrigerator with icemaker, and more!



Sweet Meadow Cottage is a 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath cottage that sleeps 4 adults and up to 2 children. The cottage has two king bedrooms and a queen fold out sofa and twin bunk bed in the loft, all with cozy bedding, fluffy pillows and extra blankets for your comfort. The master king bedroom on the main level has a private en-suite bath with soaking tub and shower and Jack and Jill sinks. The upstairs king bedroom shares a hallway bath with the loft. The hallway bath has a combination tub/shower. On the main level there is a powder room.



The SweetGrass community has implemented thoughtful rental rules, including quiet hours, to protect community assets and maintain harmony in the community. You will be required to agree to, abide by and sign a copy of the rules as a part of the process of renting this home. The rules are there as much for your peace of mind as for the homeowners'.



This is the perfect home for a restful getaway, a writer's hideaway, an anniversary destination or a thoroughly romantic honeymoon. Your stay at Sweet Meadow Cottage is sure to be both memorable and enjoyable.



Pet Rules: 

Pets allowed with approval - a maximum of 1 dog under 45 lbs.

Your dog(s) must be fully housetrained and current on vaccinations and Flea & Tick preventative; cannot be left loose or unattended at any time; must be crated if you leave them home alone, crate(s) not supplied; pets are not allowed on the furniture and you must clean up any hair in the home upon your departure; Please make sure to clean up the yard after your dogs; if there is a hot tub, dogs are not allowed in it; and follow any rules regarding dogs in the Sweetgrass rules. The non refundable pet fee and tax is a total of $112.75 per dog.

Interaction with Guests:

Blowing Rock Properties is available 24 hours a day for emergencies. We interact with our guests through the Ruebarue app. before and during their stay and our office is open Monday through Friday 9am to 5 pm.
