Welcome to Wizard’s Burrow! This historic duplex built in 1875 was once where travelers on the Blue Ridge Parkway could stop in for picnic lunches & pastries and is now home to the Wizarding retreat of the high country! HP fans won’t want to miss this one!

This unit is the right side of a historic & quirky duplex

You enter through the door with the Blue Ridge mountain mural ⛰️

The kitchen is the first room you come to and you’ll notice two things:
1. The ceilings are a bit low! Please watch your head - you may want to remove your witch or wizard hat
2. The Weasleys decorated the kitchen, so naturally, it’s a bit wonky

When you head upstairs, the space opens up to the common room with AppleTV and a dedicated work space (Harry’s desk) in the corner

Take a walk through the common room and tada! You’ve found your dormitory. With windows on 3 sides, you get plenty of light. However, you can close all of the curtains if less light is more your thing. There is also a plant filled coffee bar in the bedroom for you to enjoy as soon as you wake up 🙌🏽

Please note - again, since the Old Wizard’s Burrow was built in the 1800s, the ceiling downstairs in the kitchen is only about 6 ft 3 inches high. If you are taller than that, you will need to duck, use a shrinking charm, or send a shorter witch or wizard downstairs to make your meals

This place does have its quirks and also charm! The stairs are a bit creaky and narrow but bc the kitchen ceiling is low, they don’t go up too high. Please watch your pets & small little witches & wizards!

ACCESS
Guests have access to the right side of the Borrow and can enter through the door under the sunroom (with the Blue Ridge mountain mural)

Please note: the key to the Wizard’s Burrow only works for the downstairs door HANDLE, not the upstairs door or any deadbolts. Please only enter and exit through the downstairs door painted with the Blue Ridge mountains on it.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Appalachian Ski Mountain and the Blue Ridge Parkway right next door!

The Wizard’s Burrow is located on a very quiet street off of US HWY 321. It feels secluded and you’re still so close to it all.

There is a patch of gravel in front of the building where you can park your enchanted car. Everything is very close by car but not very walkable

Please note: our neighbor does have a dog and you may hear her greet him when he gets home but most of the time she is quiet! She may also greet your dog by barking if she hears your dog. Thank you for understanding!

PLEASE READ
• I absolutely love dogs but they are not allowed on the furniture. Any pet hair found on furniture will result in a $200 fee

• Speaking of dogs, any dogs brought with you are required to be on the reservation per Airbnb regulations. THE LIMIT IS 2 DOGS PER STAY (Thank you for understanding ☺️)

• This area occasionally experiences high winds which can cause the internet service to go out temporarily. Since this is something out of our control, no refunds will be issued if this happens. Thank you for understanding!
