This spacious mountain home has enough room for 2 -3 families & kids! Kid area downstairs with game table! .7 miles to downtown Blowing Rock ( a 2 min drive)- it is possible to walk for those that can handle a hill or 2! This location is so close to everything Blowing Rock & the surrounding towns have to offer! Close to outlets for shopping & App Ski mountain is 3 miles away! This location is great for a big group that loves all the amenities of being close to downtown Blowing Rock. After a day of touring, & sightseeing you can come back to the lodge & make a great meal in the chefs kitchen & then soak in the hot tub on the deck! The main level has a king master suite with en-suite bathroom. There is also a powder room in this level , family room w/gas log fireplace & access to the wrap around deck w/ grill , hot tub & fire pit! The upstairs offers a king bedroom & a queen bedroom w/ a jack n Jill bathroom between the two. The lower basement level has a queen bedroom w/ set of twin bunk beds and a living area with a queen sleeper sofa! Great space in this cabin!

Great beds, linens, and very clean. Wonderful space for a girls weekend. Host addressed all issues promptly and gracefully. Nothing that affected our time negatively. Great location, near town and shopping and restaurants. Great hikes all around. Would recommend for families girls time or couples get away. Blessed by this home and feeling grateful as we leave.

The house was neat and clean, close to everything. However, it was right on the highway and noise was loud. Also, the house had the bare minimum. It hosts up to 12, which would have been tough to do. We had 9 adults and could have had more space. There was only one roll of tp in each bathroom for 9 ppl for a 4 day stay. 1 roll of paper towels, 1 pod of detergent for the dishwasher and 2 kitchen trash bags. We needed to shop right away.

Amazing place to stay

Beautiful well kept home with space for the whole family! Right in the middle to downtown blowing rock and Boone! We were so close to the grocery store we actually went about 2X a day. Haha. Would love to stay here again in the future!

Really Wanted to Give a Five-Star Review, But...

My family and I were initially super excited about the house upon our arrival, but realized, upon closer inspection, that the house needs: 1) a THOROUGH cleaning, and 2) a couple of small, but important updates. * When the toilet rings - all of them - were lifted up, there were rings of black and pink goo on the underside of the bowl - that was clear they had not been cleaned properly * The towels provided smelled sour when used, which indicates they sat in the washing machine too long before being dried * The comforter on top of the bed linens had stains that were disgusting. Take the comforters off the beds and do not use them! * We placed an extra roll of toilet paper in the upstairs guest bathroom on the little shelf on the wall, and when we pulled it down, it was covered in no less than two inches of dust. We did not use that roll of paper * Every surface, everywhere, had streaks in it, indicating that the cleaning service used whatever rag they had used throughout the entire house everywhere * I spilled a glass of water on the kitchen floor and when I used a few paper towels to clean it up, the towels came back black - the kitchen floor has not been cleaned in a long time * The dining room table had crumbles and salt all over it * The glass doors and sliders looking to the west have not been cleaned in a VERY long time * The rug in the living room is very dirty, with the edges rolled up and created a trip hazard

This spacious mountain house has a great layout and is conveniently located 1 mile from Blowing Rock. As a note, it is located above a 4-lane highway, HWY 321, with constant road noise. Great spacious covered deck with a nice hot tub and gas fire pit but the loud noise of the cars and 18 wheelers on the four lane HWY does not stop. We could not hear each other talk when we were using the deck areas. At night, a large neon Outback Steak House Sign illuminates the back deck and windows. The rug in the main family room was rolled up on both ends. This was a big tripping hazard b/c it is a high traffic area. It appeared the owner attempted to use double sided tape to fix it, but it did not keep the rug flat. We kept on tripping over it going into the family room and we finally had to put a piece of furniture on it to keep the ends down. When we first entered the property, we noticed a hole in the kitchen ceiling and water dripping onto the countertops. It was due to the upstairs toilet leaking and must have been leaking for quite a while to have formed a hole that size. The owner was very responsive to this issue and an emergency plumber was called. Family friendly home with great layout for kids.

We really enjoyed this property. Great location All amenities were good. Our suggestion trade out the micro fiber sheets(hot) and maybe a pull down shade for the window adjacent to the dining table, the glare is pretty strong at dinner time.

Real gem

This has the be the best VRBO I’ve stayed at in 9 years. Clean, well equipped, great location, everything was simple to use, great layout, comfortable couches and beds, everything worked! Such thoughtful amenities and extras. Will certainly stay again and/or recommend.

Home Away from Home

The house had everything you could need for a wonderful family weekend. We enjoyed the hot tub the fireplace and had everything there we would need. The home is very roomy, and was accommodating to my family of five and would have easily accommodated more.

Nice place to stay

We had a great experience staying here for 4 days. House was clean, spacious, with everything you could possibly need. Location is amazing too with everything close by and Appalachian Ski Mountains is 15 mins or less away. Overall I highly recommend this place if you plan to stay with a large group.

Great Retreat for the Whole Family

Our family enjoyed a great early Christmas getaway at the home and it was the perfect location. The home was clean, well organized and maintained as well. It’s only 4 or 5 mins drive from downtown Blowing Rock. Highly recommended!

Beautiful setting in a lovely home!!!

This beautiful house is spotlessly clean and is so well laid out for a family or friends gathering. Both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces are easy to light and cozy. The hot tub was lovely on a cool night. The kitchen is very well stocked. Just minutes from downtown Blowing Rock. This owner definitely has put a lot of thought and care into providing a memorable experience for her guests. We’ll definitely be back!!

First Girl’s Trip

We had an amazing time in Blowing Rock shopping and dining and visiting Grandfather Mountain. When we wanted to stay in we had plenty of space and enough bedrooms for each to have their own (4). The only recommendation I’d make is the dining chairs make you feel very short because the table is so tall or you sink so low when you sit down. Loved our time together!
