A Place Apart is conveniently located on Appalachian Ski Mountain, a short 5-minute drive to the slopes. Hop on the Blue Ridge Parkway 1.3 miles away to take advantage of hiking trails for all skill levels, overlooks, Price Park, and Moses Cone Manor. Downtown Blowing Rock is about seven minutes away, with local dining and shops and a public park with tennis and basketball courts. Tweetsie Railroad, Mystery Hill, and Boone Golf Course are all within a fifteen-minute drive. The town of Boone, twenty minutes down the road, is home to local shops, restaurants, and Appalachian State University.

A Place Apart is a two-level home with sleeping for nine guests. The entryway opens to a den with tongue-and-groove vaulted ceilings. It has a multi-cade arcade game that kids will be sure to enjoy. The den also provides an additional sleeping space with the queen sleeper sofa. Through the den, guests will find the living room with comfortable reclining furniture and a stone fireplace with gas logs where guests can relax after skiing. The picture windows let in natural light and showcase the long-range mountain views from the partially covered back deck. The gas grill and outdoor seating make the deck a comfortable place to take in the fresh mountain air. The open-plan kitchen has clear sight lines through to the dining area and living room, making it an ideal setup for entertaining. After exploring the high country, guests can relax in the hot tub. The fenced-in yard has additional outdoor seating and a fire pit, perfect for making S'mores on a warm summer night. Enjoy a little friendly competition by playing a game of ping-pong or darts in the game area in the garage.

The second level is where you will find the bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed and a private balcony with seating for two. Wake up with your morning coffee while watching the sunrise. There is a large walk-in closet, a private ensuite bathroom with double vanities, and a step-in shower. The two additional bedrooms share a full bathroom. The bunk room accommodates three in the twin-over-full bunk bed, while the third bedroom has a queen bed. The loft also has a workspace, ideal for guests working remotely.

Additional amenities include Wifi, a half-bath on the main level, central heating and AC on the main level, mini-splits in each bedroom, and a washer and dryer. The driveway is paved and has parking for three cars. The garage is available for parking as well. The home is accessed via one step and has a covered entryway for easy loading and unloading. Winter guests should prepare for inclement weather with AWD or 4WD and snow chains. Please note there is camera at the front door.
