The "Sky Deck": Our favorite spot! We’ve perched a massive wooden deck atop a shipping container. It’s the perfect stage for your morning yoga, sunset cheers, or some world-class stargazing.
There are hundreds of miles of trails you can access directly from the property.
It's on a dirt, dead end road, just 1.5 miles from the supermarket. and city water, power and sewer. It's a unicorn. We built this as our little retirement home and until we retire we will rent from time to time. This is not an "airbnb", this is a place to write your opus, walk trails that are unmarked and live near Canyonlands, Bears Ears, Dark Canyon and all the beautiful things that make SE Utah one of the most magical places on earth.
The art and the decor is inentional and the plywood walls in the main room are too. This is a double thick / double insulated structure and hanging out here makes you feel like you are in your own slice of heaven. The land is full of slick rock walls, a 100 foot canyon is your back yard and when you get out on to the outcropping of rocks on the point, you can't help but feel the pull of the aincents while gazing at the Abajo up Westwater canyon.
What you see is what you get. Modern HVAC mini splits, walls of windows and a brand new build that feels like it could have been there for 200 years. Constructed from local spruce, blue pine and fir, trims brought in from local mills no farther away than Western CO.
