Mountain Lakefront Log Cabin on Lake Nottely in Blairsville and near Blue Ridge

Cane Creek Cabin is 5 Bedrooms, 4 Full Bathrooms, 2 Half Bathrooms, and Sleeps 14 with two full kitchens. Enjoy your Rest and Relaxation as It is very private and quiet. The Cane Creek Lodge is a stunning three-level custom log home on Lake Nottely so even if the weather doesn't cooperate, the house will offer plenty of spacious adventure!

Our lakefront retreat is located 10 minutes from Blairsville, 20 minutes from the town of Blue Ridge, 30 minutes from Murphy, NC, and under 2 hours from Atlanta's city center. Just off Pat Colwell Road, it is close to Vogel State Park, Desoto Falls, Brasstown Bald, Helen Georgia, Dalonega, and the Ace Sweepstakes Casino in Murphy, NC.

Lake Nottely is a TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) lake that is lowered between Labor Day and Memorial Day for the winter months. While the water becomes shallow, these times are not good for boating, however fishing, rafting, kayaking and paddle boarding are still activities to be enjoyed. There are also many woods around the cabin to enjoy or nearby hikes for foliage scenery.


After a fun day of sightseeing, hiking, fishing, boating, or swimming, you can BBQ on the charcoal grill, relax on the covered dock, roast smores over a camp fire, shoot a game of pool, or unwind on the large back porch in a rocking chair.

Take advantage of our upgraded kitchen with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and smooth-surface cook top. Then sit beside the fireplace, settle down with a good book and enjoy the warmth given off by the flames...or you can play a game of pool or shuffleboard and watch your favorite show on one of the three TVs.

Cane Creek Lodge is equipped with free WiFi, washer/dryer, and a cable TV on each level. On the main level you will find the master bedroom with king bed and luxurious ensuite bathroom.

On the upper level you will find a loft with a sleeper futon and 2 additional bedrooms, both with queen-sized beds. Each has its own private bathroom.

On the lower level there are 2 more bedrooms, 1 with a queen-sized bed and the other with 2 twin beds, as well as a queen sleeper sofa.

Unfortunately, we can't accept pets, but Nottely Oaks Animal Hospital and Pet Resort is approximately just down the road. They will happily board your furry friends, and release them for daytime adventures, to be returned later on.

Cane Creek Lodge is perfect for family reunions, church get-togethers, or friends who want to explore all that Lake Nottely and the North Georgia mountains have to offer. We love our lake house and hope you will too!

Great For Making Family Memories!

This was our second time at the property and was even better than the first. In fact, we’re already sure there will be a third! The updates to the home are fresh and renewed, and the things we love about it (location on the lake, home amenities, size of the home, sports play, etc) are as amazing as ever. Retreat in the mountains.

The property was fantastic. We had so much room to spread out. We all enjoyed the the lower level with all the entertainment options. We all swam each day down at the covered boat dock. I brought my pontoon boat but hardly even used it as everything we like about lake vacations was right there. We were a group of 14 and never felt cramped in any way. The kitchens were stocked with everything you could possibly need. Our family had a great time and will definitely be back.

In complete agreement with everyone who shared that this cabin is MORE beautiful and clean and a higher quality of furniture than the pictures show. Only issues were having to wait 2 days for firewood to arrive and not receiving the door code until just hours before. Upon arrival the housekeeper, Melissa greeted us with perfect Georgia hospitality! She made us feel welcome and safe. We enjoyed our nightly visits on the deck from our raccoon friends! Would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone desiring a peaceful, clean, luxurious and restful stay!

Perfect Mountain Getaway

This beautiful cabin on the lake was perfect for our huge family! There were so many accommodations. We were planning to go out to eat for dinner each night, but felt so at home that we didn’t want to leave and ended up just cooking at the cabin! The view is gorgeous! The only thing missing is a hot tub.

Lakefront Fun

Amazing house and property. The house is beautifully appointed and has everything you need. Well stocked and very clean. The internet was down for the first night but this was quickly corrected and I appreciate the fast response by the property manager. We especially loved the dock, the lakeview, the wrap around porches and the pool table/shuffleboard downstairs. Highly recommend!

July Fourth Family and Friends

We gathered from AL, FL, MI and NYC. Had an absolutely fabulous time. The weather was great; lake so warm and beautiful. The house was immaculate and way more well stocked than description. House manager was very responsive and so friendly. We loved the folks at the Nottely Marina and enjoyed exploring all corners of the lake on our rented pontoon. We loved Sicily’s for dinner one night, and ice cream and putt putt in town. We all put our heads together for constructive criticism. Other than the grill being charcoal, which worked out fine, we wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you for the memories we created this week. We’ll be back!!

We loved the house. But the driveway and parking was very mis leading. We were there with Motorcycles And trailers. If the owners installed the gates differently we could have been able to turn around and park the trucks and trailers.

A Magical Christmas

This cabin is so beautiful...honestly the pictures do not capture how amazing it is. It was very clean, well-stocked and spacious. The owner had it beautifully decorated for us for Christmas with a beautiful tree. The communication was immediate. I highly recommend this cabin!!

What a place

Awesome house, great location, the weather worked at well, and the water was refreshing. The pictures of the house do not do it justice, my grandson walked into the house and just said wow. Only thing that needs some help is the grill. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

This property was much better than the pictures depicted. Beautiful home, dock access with swimming and fishing opportunities. Boat rental available with tubing which my grandchildren loved! Would definitely consider a return vacation there!

the cabin was spotlessly clean and a perfectly spacious but cozy home for the weekend. The path through the woods around the area was a fun walk/hike for the children. We would absolutely book this place again!

A Perfect Getaway!

Our family decided to rent a cabin for a long weekend. We expanded our search and found this cabin in the GA mountains on the lake. It was a perfect relaxing getaway for our family. The Christmas tree was an added bonus as we were celebrating Christmas with the family since we were all together. The pictures do not do this place justice! It is absolutely beautiful and extremely clean. My boys are already asking when we can go back!
