Open the French doors onto the large enclosed grassed garden, where you will find a freshly filled and heated six-person hot tub (with built in light show) and plenty space to enjoy playing with family or just sitting and taking in the breathtaking, rustic views over a quaint duck pond and the surrounding hills and natural beauty. Dalnaglar Castle Estate covers 200 acres and lies on the southern fringe of, and within viewing distance of the Cairngorms National Park. It’s perfectly located for a quiet romantic break, family holiday or something more adventurous. Located on a private estate, there are just five cottages and the castle, and it is 1½ miles from the main road. Explore the Cateran Trail, hit the slopes of Glenshee, enjoy a round of golf, visit many of the nearby popular tourist towns (including the Royals summer retreat at Balmoral), nip down to Persie Distillery for some gin tasting or simply sit back and relax whilst taking in the sumptuous countryside surroundings.
