Comfortable, family-friendly, relaxed house that sleeps 9, perfect for 2 families. There are 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms (1 double with ensuite, 1 triple, 1 queen bedroom upstairs and a bedroom with 2 singles downstairs. The open-plan kitchen joins onto the spacious dining room, with a Nectre log burning stove. This area opens out through a pair of french doors to the outside deck. A cosy sitting room with log fire opens out through french doors to a beautiful courtyard. The house is surrounded by large gardens with a tennis court, cubby house & swing.
Guests have the house, 7 acre property, tennis court, beautiful established gardens and lookout all to themselves. Enjoy the beauty of the Shipley Plateau, Hargraves and Mount Blackheath lookouts just a short drive from the house. Or take a short walk to our private lookout over the Megalong Valley. The large established garden and beautifully sited tennis court offers space, peace & seclusion. It is in close proximity to Blackheath, the Megalong Valley and bush walks within the National Park. Megalong Valley`s great walks and horse riding places are also just a short drive away. The best apples and juice from the Logan Brae orchard on Shipley Road. At the start of the road (3km) is Blackheath`s restaurants, cafes and shops.

A car is really handy though a bus and train can take you to Katoomba. Nearest station to Little Pightle is Blackheath, about 3 km from the house.
Though we were very familiar with the Blue Mountains through bushwalking, we were attracted to the unique stunning scenery, peace and tranquility, all within 1 1/2 hrs drive from Sydney CBD on good motorways. We were lucky to find such a unique property with a house that was being lovingly restored from a simple single storey weatherboard to its unique configuration by a passionate French builder, we just keep the passion going!

The Blue Mountains National Park has many beautiful walking trails and lookouts to visit. Our favourite places to go are the Mount Tomah Botanical Gardens, Everglades historic house, the Carrington Hotel in Katoomba, the Edge cinema in Katoomba and Mount Vic Flicks in Mount Victoria, excellent restaurants in Blackheath and the local Blackheath Produce Markets on the 2nd Sunday of the month.
We are 3km from Blackheath, along the Shipley Road. There are plenty of taxis at Blackheath if you catch the train there.
Linen, towels, tea towels, bath mats are all provided. A set open log fire and log burning stove awaits with generous wood basket supplied and plenty of cut wool on the property. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a Nepresso coffee machine, capsules supplied.
