We are ONLY 15 Minutes from Eldora Mountain - the local mountain in Nederland & just over an hour away from the biggest resorts like: Keystone, Copper & Loveland!! (Aspen & Vail only 2 hours away!!)

Come enjoy winter with us!! The fun in the mountains is endless, and our cabin makes the perfect cozy, serene, and peaceful home base equipped to feel just like you're back in your own home! We take pride in having our cabin very well stocked to be as comfy and relaxing as possible so that everyone can make the most our of their escape in the Carlson Cabin!

Outdoor Activities:

Sauna- Luxury 4 person brand new sauna! Nothing better than after a long hike or day of skiing/ snow a on the mountain to unwind in a beautiful sauna.

BBQ - There is a BBQ and outdoor dining area you can use to prepare delicious home cooked meals.

Fire Pit - There’s a fire pit you can gather around, share stories, and watch for shooting stars.

Hammock - 2 person luxury hammock that can hold up to 450lbs. Perfect for relaxing breaks through the day!

Outdoor Games - Enjoy the property with games like corn hole, “lawn pong”, and more.

Indoor highlights:

Smart TV’s - In the living room and each bedroom.

Surround Sound- The house living room is equipped with surround sound to make your movie nights at the cabin epic!

Indoor Games - The house is stocked with over a dozen board games and puzzles for everyone to enjoy.

For The Kid’s - A family friendly experience we’ve included things like a highchair, a foldable crib, an outdoor kids chair, outdoor kids camping set, a play Tipi, as well as a number of books and games for them to enjoy!

Mountains Around the Corner!!!

Who doesn't love a mountain home right next to some of the biggest Colorado mountains! We are a short 15-20 minute drive to Eldora Mountain which is NOW OPEN! Keystone & Breckenridge Ski Resorts as other options are both slightly over an hour away.

Skiing & Snowboarding all day, ending with some mountain hiking is the perfect day here! Then, come home to the cabin & relax the muscles in the jacuzzi + sauna. End the night playing games & drinking wine on us! Truly= making our home the perfect escape!!!

Lake Access :

You’re only a few minute walk from thorn lake, one of the only naturally fed spring lakes in the area.

Thorn lake is reserved for the residents and friends of our small mountain community.

Kayaks and paddle boards - spend your afternoon taking in the sights and wildlife as you paddle around crystal waters on one of our kayaks or paddle boards.

Fishing - Gone fishing? Thorn lake is stocked with trout and an assortment other fish and makes the perfect fishing hole for our angling guests. The fishing in our lake is *catch & release*, but obtaining a fishing license from the local Ace Hardware will get you set to fish in many lakes around too!

Flights: The nearest airport is in Broomfield, CO (BJC), located ~22 mi from the city center. You can also fly into very easily Denver Intl. Airport (DEN), which is ~44 mi away.

Room break downs:

This luxury open concept 2 bed 2 bath cabin sleeps up to 8 people. Our sleeping arrangements are as follows:

1.) Owners Suite (Sleeps 2) - 1 KING size bed
2.) Guest Room (Sleeps 4) - 1 QUEEN bed and 1 QUEEN/FULL mattress located in the loft. (Loft accessible by ladder only!!)
3.) Living Room Loft (Sleeps 2) - 1 Full/Queen mattress located in the loft. (Loft accessible by ladder only!!)
* We have an air mattress & pull out coach as well.

Extra guests MUST BE REQUESTED and CONFIRMED before your stay. A $100 per person fee (applies for the entire stay)
(**10 people MAX can be accommodated here**).

This will be enforced by us and will result in a fine if not disclosed, thank you so so much for being considerate! :)

House Rules:

We hope you LOVE our home as much as we do. Please help us by following these simple rules so we can continue to offer this DREAMY property to you and all your family and friends. Our outdoor cameras help us keep our home safe & enforce these rules (Failure to do so WILL result in fines submitted to Airb&b)

1.) NO PARTIES!!! (Large fines for ignoring this rule will be applied)
2.) No events or gatherings (Unless discussed & agreed upon prior.)
3.) **Trash must be BAGGED & thrown away @ the Gilpin County Transfer Station (2 mins away)**
4.) Quiet hours from 10pm - 8am!
5.) No rearranging furniture! (Especially no furniture brought up into the lofts)
6.) No pets (Unless discussed and agreed upon prior)
7.) No smoking or vaping *inside* the home!
8.) No roasting food in the fire pit or fireplace inside (Please use the grill!)
9.) No more than 2 people & no food, drinks, or gum in the lofts!
10.) Please, please, please return all furniture, amenities, & household items to their original places.
11.) Clean up after your kiddos if they leave a mess!
12.) *Large fines apply to amenities misuse- these are DELICATE amenities!*
13.) Do not enter the supply closet.
