The adventurous spirit will find joy in this upper-level suite, which is accessed by ascending a full flight of stairs, turning every arrival into a mini workout.

Within the suite, you're met with a fully-equipped kitchen ready to aid you in preparing your favorite dishes. The suite's cozy atmosphere is heightened by the gas fireplace, the perfect companion after a day filled with activities.

Ideally positioned, the lodge offers easy access to a myriad of local amenities. Restaurants, the Village Theater, quaint coffee shops, unique shopping boutiques, and a convenience store are all just a stone's throw away. Not to mention the nearby Big Bear Lake, a focal point of your water-related fun.

Retire for the night in the tranquil bedroom, fitted with a comfortable queen bed, and an en-suite bathroom for your convenience. For extra sleeping space, the living room houses a sturdy bunk bed.

While central air conditioning is absent, nature steps in with its refreshing mountain breeze, providing natural ventilation.

On-site parking at the property accommodates one vehicle.

According to city ordinance:
- Street parking directly in front of the lodge is permitted.
- However, during snowy conditions, you cannot park on the street.
- It's imperative to avoid leaving vehicles parked, stopped, abandoned, or unattended on any city street.
- There is a large Free Parking area located off of Bartlett, between Beaver Lane & Village Drive if you need additional parking.

** Bear Suites Village Inn Rules **

Welcome to the rules for Bear Suites Village Inn - Grizzly Bear Suite. Our aim is to maintain a harmonious environment that aligns with local Code Compliance and respects the comfort of all guests. As part of this effort, we've established some friendly but firm and inflexible house guidelines.

1. Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests (4 adults max).

2. Parking: Space for 1 vehicle. Exceeding the limit may result in fines of up to $1,000.

3. Pets: Pets Allowed (Max: 2 pets).
- Pets require pre-approval: Post-approval, a $20 fee per pet applies (charged post-booking).
- Unapproved Pets: incur a minimum of a $1,000 fine.
- Pet Guidelines:
** Kennel pets when unattended.
** Keep off furniture/beds.
** Clean up after them.
** Charges apply for pet damages.
*** Coyote Warning: *** Coyotes are extremely prevalent in Big Bear, even in the most densely populated areas. If you see one, you can bet they're part of an unseen pack. These animals are bold and territorial. They pose a significant threat to pets. For their safety, never leave your pets unattended, even in fenced areas, especially after dark. Coyotes are known for their ability to overcome barriers, including high fences. And they're even known for attacking pets that are on a leash. We cannot overstate the need for heightened vigilance concerning your pets' safety.

4. Check-In: Conducted at The Village Office for a warm welcome and local code compliance. ID verification is required for check-in.

5. Noise: Quiet hours from 9 pm to 8 am. You are not allowed to be outside, in a hot tub, play music or create any noise from inside of the residence that could be heard outside of the home. If these rules are violated, Code Enforcement could impose fines of up to $1,000 or eviction. (We have no control over Code Enforcement's decisions.)

6. Air Conditioning: NO Central AC.

7. Ants: Sometimes our ants can be a bit over-friendly. To keep these small visitors at bay, we suggest promptly cleaning up right after each meal and don't leave food out. (We do use ant bait & ant traps… and the ants tend to look at those as snacks.)

8. Trash: You are mandated by ordinance to dispose of your trash at the designated trash site. If you require assistance, we can arrange a pick-up service for a nominal fee.

9. Video Surveillance & Noise Monitors: We employ external video surveillance and noise monitors at most of our properties. (We do not have video or audio monitoring inside of the residences.)

10. No Smoking/Vaping: We have a very strict No Smoking and/ or No Vaping policy on the grounds of all of our properties.
* If any guest smokes or vapes on the premises during their stay, a minimum cleaning fee of $750 will be charged automatically to the Credit Card on file to cover the cost of carpets cleaning, dry cleaning of all bedspreads, curtains, etc. And the security deposit will be forfeited.

11. Age: Minimum booking age is 18.

12. Parties: No parties allowed; parties will result in immediate eviction and forfeiture of the security deposit. Additional cleaning fees may apply.

13. Communication: For questions or concerns, we're available via phone or email.

* Note: Code Enforcement enforces all of the ordinances in Big Bear Lake. We have no control over the decisions they make, up to and including fines and evictions.

* Note: Any eviction will result in the loss of your security deposit and you will not be entitled to a refund.

Left early due to disappointment

The stay started off well. Communication from the management company was excellent, and the remote check-in was smooth. The location is a big plus, right on the main drag and close to shops and restaurants.That said, my main issue was the value for the price. I’m not trying to sound boujee, but for what I paid, I expected more. The photos made the place look much nicer than it really was. The unit felt underwhelming and dated, and the only TV had such a dark screen that it was unwatchable. I was traveling alone and stuck inside due to snow, so that made for a frustrating experience. I ended up leaving early and booked another place for my second night.There were a few maintenance issues, like a slow-draining bathroom sink, and the unit wasn’t very soundproof. I could hear other guests walking through the halls and using their showers, which made it hard to relax. The parking situation was also a real headache. The lot is small with limited spots, and other guests’ large trucks took up most of the space. I had to park elsewhere and walk a ways, which wasn’t ideal since I had valuables in my car and I couldn't keep an eye on it.This property has potential due to its location, but it needs some upgrades, more accurate listing details, and better parking to be worth the cost, IMHO.

Convenient and comfy

We enjoyed our stay in the Grizzly Bear village inn suite. It’s location made it so easy to head out to the village for food and shopping. The suite was clean and had all the essentials for a comfy stay - bathroom and kitchen essentials, clean towels and lots of clean puffy pillows. Check in and check out were so easy! No keys to fuss with when entering and leaving the suite was a great plus. We were able to check in early - the property manager sent a text about the suite being available before the 3pm check-in, and it worked perfectly with our unexpected early arrival. Parking conveniently located in back. Overall we were very pleased and look forward to staying here again.

Great Dog Friendly Spot!

This was our first time in Big Bear and this rental was perfect for us! The location is killer, right in the little downtown area and next to great restaurants and bars and coffee shops. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go from the apartment. We stayed with our dog, and the process to book was super quick and easy. The host was very helpful and quick to respond to any and all messages or questions we had. 10/10 would definitely book again!

Older property but a great stay

We stayed in this vrbo for one night. It was an older room that has not been updated in some time. However, for the price and location, this room was perfectly sufficient for our needs. The location is perfect - right in the village and within walking distance of many stores and the lake. The communication with the front staff was great, and I felt safe in the location.

Apartment was very nicely furnished, well stocked with the essentials, clean,comfortable, much nicer than I had expected. Of course 6 stars for the mid village location. Would highly recommend for anyone staying in Big Bear village. No negatives
