Lux Bethany Beach House | Walking Distance to Ocean | Gated Community with Pool

The six bedroom, five full and two half bath Indian River Retreat Beach House is the perfect place for a family vacation. The beach house is located in the private gated community at South Shore Marina - located at the north end of Bethany Beach.

With the large windows and multiple decks, including a spiral stair case to the sun deck, this house will become a family favorite for summer trips. The house is walking distance to Delaware Seashore State Park (6/10ths of a mile), where you can enjoy a life guarded beach on the Atlantic Ocean. The Indian River Bay surrounds the home and provides an amazing landscape for relaxation and some of the best sunsets you will ever see.

This modern beach home was professionally decorated and is an ideal summer getaway. The open floor plan on the main level allows you to gather with your family and closest friends, but the multiple levels create privacy and space.

The house elevator makes it easy to get luggage and groceries to each floor.

Spend the day at the beach or take part in the activities offered by Delaware Seashore State Park or all that the local beach communities have to offer. In the evening wind down with dinner and live music overlooking the Atlantic Ocean or Indian River Bay at either Big Chill or Hammerheads, our two local communal restaurants.

The chef in your family will have access to a large kitchen and everything needed to prepare a great family meal or choose to grill on the deck overlooking the Bay. When the sun goes down and things move inside, its time to challenge family and friends to a game of corn hole or cards or enjoy a movie on one of the six large smart TVs.

The home is a short drive to all of the area attractions including: Rehoboth, Dewey, Fenwick Island and Ocean City, MD beaches, outlet shopping, brewery tours, golf, boating, jet skiing, fishing, amazing food and restaurants and so much more.

A lovely long weekend celebrating my 40th birthday!The house was fantastic.We cooked 2 big family meals with a kitchen that had everything we needed.Every bedroom was stunning and comfortable.We utilized the main top floor and rooftop for all our gathering needs.We enjoyed walking to the beach, having drinks at BigChill, and driving into the Bethany Beach area.We only wished our weekend could have lasted longer!We’ll be back for sure!!

House was just like advertised. It was a lovely property that fit our group well. Kitchen was well stocked and had all the essentials and much more. It was great having beach chairs and umbrellas on property, one less thing to pack. We had a family group (all females, girls trip), and there were no complaints.

This house was wonderful. We had 15 people stay at the house and everyone had plenty of room to spread out. The views were gorgeous from every angle on the property. Jason, the owner, was very helpful and quick with responses when we had questions. Our family had fun and wonderful time together for our long weekend getaway for my parents’ 56th anniversary. Definitely will consider booking this property in the future. Absolutely amazing

Huge property well suited for a large family or multiple families. The host was very responsive when there was a hiccup with checkin and it was resolved very quickly. Location is right between rehobeth and Bethany so it's only a short drive to those boardwalks. The state park nearby provides ample space if you want a closer option for the beach

This was one of our best vacations ever! Perfect for extended family, we had a group of 7 adults and 6 children
had room to spare! 2 family rooms, huge kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals, den, sunroom, multiple outdoor patios on each of the 3 floors. Just beautiful. Easy check in. Beautiful gated community on the water with a nice pool and pickleball court.

A Fabulous Vacation Home

This house was fantastic with so much space for our growing family. The 6 bedrooms and 6 1/2 baths contributed to everyone feeling so comfortable. We loved the rooftop space to look at the stars at night and to listen to music. It was an easy drive , walk or bike ride to the beach. The swimming pool was a HIT as well. Our kids made all the dinners in the exquisite kitchen. This was a fabulous place to stay for our multi generational family. Thank you so much!

Family vacation 2025 Bethany Beach

Very nice would recommend to others that the vacation stay was as advertised. Very nice comfortable place clean and modern. We enjoyed super well managed Delaware Seashore beaches 10 minute walk away. Very relaxing seaside surroundings. Only negative was a 5 cup coffee maker for a 10 person house. We had to make 4 pots of coffee each morning. No wash cloths in the linen provided. Who washes with a hand towel? We thought these were two reasonable requests that were denied. 4.8/5.0 stars.

Perfect house for a multigenerational vacation

The house was perfect for our multigenerational get together with ages ranging from 90 years to 5 months. The ability to have space within the house, but still eat together or play games in common areas large enough to accommodate everyone was ideal. Proximity to the pool and the beach offered easy recreation time. It was hot our week, so the pool was a big hit with the children. And the elevator made getting around for elders as well as grocery shopping a nice amenity. The hosts were responsive to our questions, both before and during our stay.

Peaceful Location, great wildlife views.

Comfortable home in nice condition. Beautiful views from all decks. It’s a 15 minute walk to the beach but we found free parking along the inlet. Or you can pay 30 for a week of beach parking passes that work at all the parks. Pool is not heated. Would be nice if the owners removed the kitchen desk and replaced it with a second refrigerator in the kitchen. But we got lots of step points from running down to the extra frig in the garage. Would rent this house again!

Great Stay (again)

This was our second time in 3 years renting this home and we hope to rent again. Location is great, house has all the space , beds and baths you’ll need for your group. The various decks, especially the rooftop , are excellent places to hang out. Would highly recommend. Owner is super responsive.

Girls Beach Weekend

This house was perfect for our girls beach weekend getaway. Plenty of room for all us to stay comfortably and the house has very nice furnishings which provide many living spaces. There are many porches, decks with views to enjoy and the location is prime. I highly recommend this property for any type of vacation and memories to make:)

Great Family Home

This large home is located in a quiet and secure neighborhood with beautiful views of the inlet! The pool is right next door, and the beach is close with lifeguards, convenient parking and bathrooms. The house is very spacious, has a fantastic layout, 3 king beds (which is not easy to find!), bunk room for kids, and 2 more queen rooms. (We put a baby in a pack 'n' play in one of these rooms.) There are plenty of spaces for congregating as well as to have some quiet time. The house is well-equipped with an elevator (great for unloading and loading), large smart TV's, extra refrigerator and beverage fridge, beach chairs, beach umbrella, etc... Owners were very responsive to inquiries, and they provided a detailed fact sheet which was very useful. Light switches and kitchen cabinets are labeled which was very helpful. I gave it a 4 for cleanliness, but this may have been due to the fact that we rented late in the season. This fact alone is outweighed by all of the positives, and we would rent this home again.

Fantastic and spacious house in Bethany Beach

We had a family gathering with 11 people, including 4 children ages 2-8. This house is so spacious, with 6 large bedrooms, each with its own bath, and 3 different floors. The third and fourth floors have a variety of gathering places along with several porches and decks. There is also a rooftop deck, from which one can see sunrises and sunsets -- very beautiful. The house is directly across from a pool, which was wonderful for the kids, who love the pool. The ocean is not an easy walking distance - close to .8 or .9 miles -- so if you are going with kids and bringing chairs, umbrellas and toys, you most likely will be using a car. Parking is $10 per day ($5 for Delaware residents) and once the car has a tag, you can leave and come back multiple times in the day. The beach is very pleasant. The owner has supplied 8 beach chairs and two beach umbrellas, along with boogie boards and tubes. Our family had a fabulous time, and cooked in every night but one, though there are many take-out options in Bethany for those who prefer not to cook. I would highly recommend this house for a large group -- very spacious and so many different areas to hang out.

Family Beach Vacation

This was the perfect spot for our multigenerational family beach vacation. Great space for all of us to spread out but large dining and living area for time together. Gorgeous views in all directions. There was a quick response to any concerns we had.

Very lovely home in an outstanding location - please don't tell anyone else

It is wonderful that linens and towels are provided (you should note that beach towels are not included). Very well outfitted house which is extremely well organized and exactly as advertised. Our family enjoyed the many different areas where we could relax. The owner/manager was immediately accessible when we had a question.
